Meet Information
Qualification: Each team will be allowed seven runners to start the meet. In order to be eligible for the team championship or team regional berth, you must have five runners finish the race. Entries will be done through Milestat.com Entries are due by 10-22-17 by 6:00pm. Contact person will be Gerald Mosley if you should have any concerns or question regarding the entry format. Scratches can be made and replacements named to your top seven at the coaches meeting.
Time schedule:
Course opens at 1:30
Coaches meeting at 2:15
Walk-through begins at 2:30
Girls race -- 3:30
Boys race -- 4:15
Awards ceremony will take place as soon as possible following the boys race.
The course is 3.1 miles long.
Regional qualifications: The top four teams shall advance to regional competition and any top 15 individual finishers not on the top 4 teams.
Awards: Medals will be awarded to the top 15 boys and girls individually. There are 15 medals for the winning boys and girls teams. Also, the Female and Male Runner of the Year as well as the Female and Male Coaches of the Year will receive a plaque. The runner of the year and coach of the year awards are no longer voted on by the coaches. These awards are given to the winning runners and the coaches of the winning teams.
Restrooms: There will be "port-a-johns" available. There will be no dressing rooms available at the farm.
Parking for buses and spectators will be at the farm but in different locations. Signs will be posted to direct everyone to the proper locations.
Directions to Frazier Farm: If heading south on 29, take the first Altavista exit and turn left heading towards town. When you get to the 2nd traffic light, turn right and go about mile and you will see the entrance on your right. If heading north on 29, take the fourth Altavista exit and turn right heading towards town. When you get to the 2nd traffic light, turn right and go about mile and you will see the entrance on the right.
