Region C Meet Preview Oct 30, 2007

 With Lebanon and Jakob Maidens moving over to Region D this year, a great regional battle similar to Region IV's Griff Graves-Peter Dorrell race will not been seen in the Region C Meet between two of Group A's best in Radford senior Nathan Brame and Maidens. However, the defending Group A state champion Brame gets to race one last time at the Southwest Virginia Training Center's 3 mile course in Hillsville to see if he can lower his course record of 15:37. The Radford boys will also be ready to make one final statement leading into the state meet clash with the three-time champs from Clarke County.  

Marsico smashes mark Nov 01, 2007

How dominant was Megan Marsico's performance at the Group A Region C cross country championship held at the Southwest Virginia Training Center Wednesday afternoon? Consider that the Glenvar sophomore's time of 18 minutes, 42 seconds (a course record) was 1:10 ahead of the second-place finisher, Brittany Bryant of Patrick Henry-Glade Spring. That 70-second spread was approximately the equivalent of the time differential between the third through the 15th finishers. "I feel good," Marsico (pictured right by John Herzog) said.
