Vincent Brown made a huge drop in his 110 meter hurdle time last year at the end of season MileStat.com Elite Track Gala when he posted a time of 15.03. To think that now he is running almost a full second faster is simply hard to imagine. The South Lakes junior broke 15 seconds for the first time only a few weeks ago at the Allen Johnson Invite, yet all of sudden after this past weekend finds himself knocking on the door of breaking 14 seconds and owning the state's leading performance with his 14.10 clocking at the Draper Invitational. Brown is not the only South Lakes athlete making a name for himself this spring as the boys' team as a whole seems to becoming the school of speed in the Northern Region. His sudden drop in times will only make the AAA State Meet more interesting and competitive in the hurdles this year as Brown is anxious to prove that he belongs right with the best of them.
