2018 VHSL GROUP 6 (C) GUNSTON DISTRICT
OUTDOOR TRACK AND FIELD CHAMPIONSHIP
DATE AND Tuesday, May 15th & Thursday, May 17th, 2018 @ T. C. Williams High School.
LOCATION: 3330 King Street, Alexandria Virginia 22302
Parking: Parking will be a problem before 3:30 p.m. The parking garage near the Track will be available after classes let out at 3:15 p.m. Enter the garage from King Street at Kenwood Drive.
Track Opens: Tuesday, May 15, 2018 @ 2:30 p.m. / Thursday, May 17, 2018 @ 2:30 p.m.
ADMISSION: General Admission is $6.00, $4.00 students

SCORING: 10 - 8 - 6 - 4 - 2 - 1 for all events

60 patches for championship teams

Athletes advancing to the VHSL Group 6 (C) Occoquan Region by virtue of a qualifying mark must submit a proof of performance (POP) form (see VHSL website at https://www.vhsl.org/outdoor-track/ forms) or the performance must be posted on www.Milestat.com in order to be used to enter the VHSL Group 6 (C) Occoquan Region meets.
FOR EVENTS: marshaling area before the first heat is run. Failure to report on time may result in a scratch.
EVENTS: Second call - 10 minutes prior to the scheduled time of event.
Third call - five minutes prior to the scheduled time of event.
CONCESSIONS: The Titan Grill will operate during the meet to provide food and drink for sale.

but shall be limited to participation in any three running events except that a contestant who
competes in the 3200 meter run may compete in only one other running event. No individual
contestant may compete in more than one meet in any one day. In any meet over two days a
contestant competing in the 3200 meter run may compete in two additional running events as
long as only one of the two is contested on the same day as the 3200 meter run. If an athlete
at the conference, region or state meet is excused from an event by a certified athletic trainer
or a physician appointed by the games committee, that athlete will be eligible for any and all
other events entered unless the certified athletic trainer or physician determines that the
athlete's health would be in danger with any further participation.

warming up for his or her event. All participants will be directed to warm up in a designated
area. Any athletes found out of these designated areas are subject to disqualification. No coaches will be allowed on the track and/or infield areas during competition.
