Meet Information
The meet will be held rain, snow, or shine.
$20.00 per relay team (only one per school)
This is an entry fee, not a competition fee. Once the initial entry of athletes has been submitted, this is the amount due. Scratched athletes/relays do not affect the entry fee. This fee is NON-REFUNDABLE and must be mailed to:

The entries site at hokiesports.com/itrack will close TUESDAY, JANUARY 28 at 9:00 a.m. Final scratches and updated performances must be posted no later than MONDAY, JANUARY 27, 2003 at 5:00pm. No additions will be accepted.
Friday (Day 1) will be posted by 11:00pm Friday
Saturday (Day 2) will be posted by 8:00pm Saturday

PARKING INFORMATION
Parking is NOT allowed in the track parking lot. This lot is reserved for home basketball games. Your vehicle will be towed (at your expense).
Vehicles are allowed to park in the following locations:
Follow signs from Route 460 to Southgate Drive to "track meet parking".

IMPORTANT COACHES' INFORMATION
1. Check the program to make sure all your athletes are in the events you submitted.
2. If an athlete is missing from an event: report to the Hytek computer desk (starting line) BEFORE the meet begins.
3. Coaches' Meeting: held at the Clerk of Course area, either attend the Friday or Saturday meeting, prior to the start of the events each day.
4. Clerk of Course for all RUNNING events is in the back right corner of the field house. You or your athlete may check-in for a RUNNING event at any time during the meet. However, check-in will CLOSE 20 minutes PRIOR to the time scheduled for each event. Make sure your athletes are checked-in on time.
At 30 MINUTES prior to the scheduled time for each event check-in will CLOSE. If an athlete has not checked in he/she will be scratched. No exceptions.
At 20 MINUTES prior the scheduled time for each event all athletes must return to the Clerk to receive their heat assignment and hip number.
5. All FIELD events will check-in at their perspective competition area.
At 20 MINUTES prior to the scheduled time for each event check-in will close. If an athlete has not checked in he/she will be scratched. No exceptions.
6. SCRATCHES ONLY. No additions or substitutions!
7. In the 1000m, 1600m, 3200m, and 3200m relays: lapped runners with more than 1 lap to finish when the minimum standard is reached will be removed from the track and not allowed to finish.
8. Athletes not attaining the minimum standards, will receive 'NM" or 'DNF'. Do not enter athletes not capable of meeting the minimum performance standards.
9. Numbers are worn on the FRONT for all events, with the exception of the pole vault and high jump. Athletes who are NOT wearing their assigned number will be disqualified.
10. Hip numbers Worn on the LEFT hip for all races on the OVAL track Worn on the RIGHT hip for the 55m and the 55m hurdles
11. Athletes that have to leave a field event to compete in a running event will have 10 minutes to report back to the field event or they will miss an attempt.
12. Long jump and triple jump warm-ups: Only the flight that is next to jump will be allowed to warm-up and put their marks on the runway. Each flight will have 15 minutes to warm-up.
13. Parking: Parking is allowed in the following areas: stadium lot (across from the track parking lot); maintenance lot (beside the stadium lot), and on "chicken hill" (across the street from the track lot).
14. Only 1/4" spikes or less will be allowed on all track surfaces. Spikes will be checked at the starting line. 1/8" spikes are recommended.
15. Food: will be permitted only in the designated area at the front of the field house.
16. Rest rooms: Men's and women's rest rooms are located in the front of the field house. There are also port-a-johns outside the front entrance of the field house.
17. ALL coaches, athletes, and spectators must stay out of all flagged off areas of competition. There is limited space outside the competition areas. For everyone's safety, no one will be allowed in designated competition areas. Coaches and athletes NOT competing will NOT be allowed inside the oval track.
18. Do no allow athletes to climb up on mats at the end of the dash track!
19. The outdoor track is available for warm-up.
20. Commemorative t-shirts will be on sale. Concessions stands will be open during the meet.
