Meet Information
Date: Monday May 20, 2019 - Track opens at 2:00PM (Monday's events 4x8 and Long Jump...girls then boys)
Thursday, May 23, 2019 Track opens at 9:30AM
Coaches Meeting @ 10:00 AM
Admission: $7.00 per person. Athletes will be admitted in uniform only.
Passes: VHSL, VATA, VHSCA, VIAAA, VSBA, Principal state membership cards.
Qualifiers: Each team will be allowed 3 entries per event. You may enter more if everyone has met the regional qualifying standards. (See attached for standards)
Entries: You will place your entries on Milestat. Entries are due by 8:00 pm on Sunday, May 19, 2019.
Scratches: Email scratches to augrompw@staffordschools.net after the entry deadline but before noon on Tuesday May 21, 2019 (so the meet can be properly seeded for the program).
State Qualifiers: Top 4 athletes advance in each event, as well as the Top 4 relay teams; also those athletes that have attained the state standard at a meet of 5 or more teams where FAT timing was used.
Scoring: 8 scoring places (10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1)
Events: Flight format. Athletes will jump in order and then top 9 will be brought back for the finals.
Reverse order of jumpers will be used in the finals.
Track Event Trials: Trials and Finals will be held in the 100/110 hurdles and the 100-meter dash.
Trophy/Medals: Championship trophies will be awarded to the winning girls' & boys' teams. Medals will be awarded to the top eight place winners in each event and top 3 relay teams.
Hospitality Room: We will have lunch for coaches on Thursday.
Track Surface: Beynon Track surface. Flats and inch pyramid spikes, no Christmas trees. Spikes longer than inch will NOT be allowed on track. Immediate disqualification will result if longer spikes are used. Coaches, please assist with this.
Team Personnel All team personnel - managers, etc., must enter with the team.
Bus Arrival: On Thursday: Have your team buses drop off at the stadium (Stadium is located on Porter Lane) and park at Chichester Park (located adjacent to SHS) Reminder: We are in school until 2:15pm. Buses may move to the student parking lot around 3:00.
Tents: Must be in the grass areas ONLY (please ask if you are not sure); tents are NOT permitted in the bleachers.
