ELIGIBILITY: Each school is allowed one entry per event if no athletes have qualified for the event. More than one entry is allowed if all individuals have met the district qualifying standards.
ENTRIES: All entries to the district meet must be entered on milestat. Athletes competing in the regional track meet must meet their regional standard. Top 6 from the district meet do not advance to the regional meet. For Hand times you must round up to the next tenth then add .24 seconds to convert to FAT. Example: 100 m hand time on watch 11.21 = 11.3 + 0.24 =11.54 FAT.
FACILITIES: The Nelson track is 400 meters and has 6 lanes. The track surface is rubberized. The shot and discus circles are concrete. 1/4" spikes and flats may be used on the track and runways.
ADMISSIONS: Adults and students: $5.00. Children under the age of 5: No Charge
State passes will be honored.
ATHLETES: All athletes must remain in the track area. Any athlete in Nelson County High School will be disqualified.
AWARDS: Meet trophies will be presented as soon as scores are validated. Individual awards may be picked up at the press box at the conclusion of the meet. Athletes of the Year will be voted on by the coaches.
SCORING: Individual (10, 8, 6, 4, 2, 1) Relay (10, 8, 6, 4, 2, 1)
CONCESSIONS: Appomattox County High School will operate a concession stand.
