2019 Small School/ Large School T&F Extravaganza
We would like to welcome you to attend the 1st Annual Central Virginia Extravaganza! An affordable early season meet where small school (1A, 2A, 3A), will compete during a morning session starting at 9:00am while the larger schools (4A, 5A, 6A) will compete in an afternoon session starting tentatively around 3:00pm, with two sessions separated by a one hour transition period featuring 2 champions/ unified events along with a warm up session for the afternoon competitors. A final time schedule will be released on the Tuesday prior to the meet. The afternoon start time is heavily based on entry numbers, but will not start prior to 2:30pm.
Entry Fees:
Individuals: $12 per athlete
Relay Teams: $25 per relay
If an individual competes in four individual different events, he/she would pay $12.
Each team can enter up to 3 athletes in each event. *Additional entries upon request*
Tentative Schedule:
Morning session starting at 9:00am and evening session starting at 3:00pm tentatively. A final time schedule will be released after all the entries have been received. *The afternoon session time is subject to change + - 30 minutes*

Sanction:
This meet will be sanctioned by the state association VHSL as well as for North Carolina, ( with others to be added potentially). Meet will not be sanctioned for Maryland public schools as we want to allow category 3 private schools from Virginia to compete in the meet.

Online Entry System:
Meet entries will be handled online using Milesplit registration system. Coaches need to claim themselves as team admins on their team pages on the Milesplit network in order to have access to input their entries. All entries must be submitted online. NO EXCEPTIONS!
Entry Deadline:
Entries will close online at MIDNIGHT on Monday, December 9th.
Eighth Graders:
Since the meet is sanctioned by the VHSL, only athletes in grades 9-12 will be allowed to compete. NO EXCEPTIONS!

PARKING:
Parking will be available for free on the streets of downtown Lexington and across the street from VMI campus
Admission Fee:
$7 per person on Saturday. Children under the after of 5 are free.
Athlete/Coach Entrance:
All athletes and coaches will enter the facility through the side entrance. This entrance is for athletes and coaches only.
Packet Pick-Up:
Coaches can pick up there packets at the coaches/ officials hospitality room.
Lane Preference:
For distance events with waterfall starts, we will seed fast to slow from outside to inside lanes.
Heat/Flight Order:
All running events will have the heats run from fast to slow. All the field events will be the opposite, with the highest seeded flights going last.
Attempts in Field Events:
Three attempts, finals to immediately follow. Athletes in each flight of the long jump, triple jump, shot put, will be given three attempts. *Note that is an athlete fouls all three attempts they will NOT be given another attempt. We will measure the first legal mark, after that each athlete must hit the following minimum marks.
Minimum Marks in Field Events:
Girls Long Jump- 14'0"
Boys Long Jump- 17'0"
Girls Triple Jump- 30'0"
Boys Triple Jump- 36'0"
Girls Shot Put- 27'0"
Boys Shot Put- 37'0"
Starting Heights in the Field Events:
Girls High Jump- 4'4"
Boys High Jump- 5'4"
Girls Pole Vault- 6'6"
Boys Pole Vault- 8-6"
Awards:
Embroidered winter hats will be presented to the winner in each event.
Athletic Trainer:
A certified Athletic Trainer will be available during the meet and will provide water as well as care for meet related injuries. Please bring your own tape for pre-competition taping.
Infield Access:
No coaches or athletes will be permitted on the infield area and will be grounds for disqualification. We will strictly enforce this along with NO electronic devices (cell phones, iPods, CD/MP3 players, etc) allowed in areas of competition. This rule is in place for your safety as well as others.
T-Shirts & Concession:
Both T-shirts and concession stands vendors will be on-site to sell meet apparel and food.
