Celebrate July 4th at the MileStat.com Bash! Jun 30, 2008

Looking for a 5K race to gauge your fitness early in your summer training? Looking to hang out with your fellow runners and friends to celebrate Independence Day? Looking for something to do as a whole family together for July 4th? Well look no further than signing up for the first annual MileStat.com July 4th 5K Bash to be held this Friday morning at 8:30 AM in Midlothian. The 5K race will be held on the home course for the Clover Hill High School cross country team, which overs a variation in terrains of grass, trail, roads, and track (last 300 meters). We are hoping this to be a fun and festive affair to gather many of our friends in the running community including current and former high school runners, coaches, parents, and others for the July 4th holiday. Race starts at 8:30 AM. Race day registration with $15 raceday entry fee lasts from 7:30 AM to 8:15 AM. Top 3 open finishers (high school and college runners are not eligible) will receive prize money of $100, $50, $25 respectively for first, second, and third places. Awards will be given to the top 5 finishers for each gender in the high school or below age division, college division, and masters division (ages 40 and up). A kids one mile fun run will be held at 8:10 AM. Show your American patriotism in your racing attire as there will also be an award for the best male and female patriotic "racing costume"!
