Twenty Sixth Annual Green Dragon Relays

Entry Fee: $5.00 per relay team and $3.00 per athlete per event for both varsity and junior varsity events. Entry fees are non-refundable!

Entry Deadline: All entries must be postmarked no later than midnight, Saturday, December 6, 2008 or delivered in person no later than 7 PM Tuesday, December 9, 2008. Entries must be accompanied by the full entry fee. Late & incomplete entries will be rejected! No exceptions! We had to reject entries last year.

Entry Limits: Each school will be allowed to enter one (1) team per relay and one (1) athlete per individual event. A second relay team or individual entry, if outstanding, may be considered on a performance basis to fill the field only if space is available.
Only athletes in the 8th & 9th grades may compete in the JV division. 9th graders may compete in either the varsity or JV division, but not both.
Tentative Time Schedule
Events will be run consecutively
9:00 AM - Field events
Girls pole vault (ST HT=7'); Boys Pole Vault (ST HT=9') will follow
Girls Shot followed by Boys Shot
In the shot, competitors will be limited to THREE (3) THROWS with no finals.
Girls High Jump (ST HT=4'4"); Boys High Jump (ST HT=5'6") will follow
Boys Long Jump followed by Girls Long Jump then Boys Triple Jump followed by Girls Triple Jump. In the LJ & TJ, competitors will be limited to three (3) attempts to get two (2) legal jumps with no finals. Seeded flights will be first

Awards: Trophies to all members of the first 3 relay teams & top 3 athletes in each individual JV & varsity event. Coaches only may pick up awards which will be available 15 minutes after the results have been posted. Do not wait to pick up your awards until the end of the meet.
Facilities: The Arthur Ashe Center Track is 11 laps per 1600 meters. It has 6 lanes 42" wide. The surface is vursa-turf, a rubber surface on which no spikes are allowed. Only flats may be used.
Equipment: Starting blocks and indoor shots will be furnished by the meet management. All other equipment must be furnished by competing schools.
