Mid Area Track Classic 2009

The field events appears to be the strong events for this Friday evening meet being held at Liberty University's Tolsma Track Center in Lynchburg. Charlottesville High School has two of the stars in the field events in high jumper Justin Jackson and thrower Melvin Carter. The girls' pole vault will have the most talent of all though with Group A's best and one of their only pole vaulters in Kate Collins from Nelson County and Group AA state titlist Shelley Parker (pictured above by Ted Plunkett) of Brookville.
