Meet Information
Waynesboro is hosting the Shenandoah Valley Polar Bear Meet #3 on a newly painted competition track.
This year, the meet is limited to schools in the counties and cities of Augusta and Rockingham.
The meet is scheduled for Saturday, January 15th. We will start as close to 11:00am as possible with field events with a target time of 12 noon to begin events on the track.
There are 5 entries per event. The JV division is open to 8th and 9th graders ONLY. 9th grade athletes must participate as varsity OR JV. They may not be entered in both.
Entries will close on January 9th at midnight.! Teams are limited to 5 entries per event.
As usual, these meets are a 'community' effort and coaches will be asked to help in leading field events, including but not limited to, long jump, triple jump, high jump, shot put, and pole vault.
The schedule will be as follows:
Field Events:
Women's Long Jump followed by Men's Long Jump, then Women's Triple Jump followed by Men's Triple Jump
Men's High Jump followed by Women's High Jump
Women's Shot Put followed by Men's Shot Put
Women's Pole Vault followed by Men's Pole Vault
Running Events: women followed by men
4x800 meter relay
55 meter hurdles
55 meter dash
1600 meter run
4x200 meter relay
500 meter dash
1000 meter run
300 meter dash
3200 meter run (combined men and women likely)
4x400 meter relay
