The Waynesboro home meet is now the Shenandoah District Indoor Track Championship. All schools in the Shenandoah District can use this track meet as a regional qualifying meet. The schools allowed to attend this meet are Buffalo Gap, Fort Defiance, Staunton, Stuarts Draft, Riverheads, Wilson Memorial, & Waynesboro.

The track meet has been rescheduled for Monday, February 7th at 12 noon.  We will start with field events by 12:00 noon and begin with track events by 1:00pm. Registration will remain open until Friday, February 4th at midnight. 

Each school is limited to 3 entries for each varsity event. Athletes in varsity heats are the only athletes allowed to advance to the regional meet. Each school is also allowed to enter up to a limit of 3 entries for developmental events. These heats are designated for athletes who are in 10th, 11th, and 12th grade but are not planning to advance to regionals. Each school is finally allowed to enter up to a limit of 3 entries for JV events. These heats are designated for any athletes in the 8th grade, and for any athletes in the 9th grade who are not planning to advance to regionals. 

You can register for developmental events in 55m dash, 300m dash, 500m dash, 55m hurdles, Long jump, High jump, Triple jump, & Shot put.

You can register for JV events in 55m dash, 300m dash, 500m dash, 1000m run, 1600m run, High Jump, Long jump, & Shot put.

There will also be an "A" team 4x200m relay which will count toward regional advancement and a "B" team 4x200m relay which will be developmental. If you prefer, you could use a "big man" relay for the boys "B" team relay.

Pole vault entries will need to be scored at your home school as our pole vault pit is not ready for use. Send us your scores and we will post them on Milestat for regional advancement. 

As usual, this championship meet is a  'community' effort and coaches will be asked to help in leading field events, including but not limited to, long jump, triple jump, high jump, and shot put.

The schedule will be as follows:

Field Events:

Women's Long Jump followed by Men's Long Jump, then Women's Triple Jump followed by Men's Triple Jump

Men's High Jump followed by Women's High Jump

Women's Shot Put followed by Men's Shot Put

Running Events: women followed by men

4x800 meter relay

55 meter hurdles

55 meter dash

1600 meter run

4x200 meter relay

500 meter dash

1000 meter run

300 meter dash

3200 meter run (combined men and women likely)

4x400 meter relay
