Woodson Distance Twilight 2022

WHO: Please contact Garrett Kroner at gmkroner@fcps.edu with interest and for the password. This meet is meant to be a high quality varsity level distance meet to get some fast races, qualifiers, tune-ups prior to the post-season. 

ENTRIES: Schools will receive 10 entries per gender to place in events as they see fit, up to 4 entries in the Fr/So mile per gender. Additionally, we will be running an open 400m at the end of the meet for ANY athlete who ran one of the distance races throughout the evening. This is meant to be a chance for a distance runner to get a full FAT 400 PR! We may be able to offer more entries depending on the number of teams registered.

SANCTIONS: VA, MD, DC

PARTICIPATION RULES: Each athlete may compete in up to three running events, one other if running the 3200m.

SCHEDULE: Girls will run first. The meet will run continuously. If possible, a tentative time schedule will be posted after registration close. Running events will go fast to slow.

ENTRY DEADLINE: May 13th, 2022 by 12 p.m. Entry on Milestat only.

ENTRY FEE: $150 per school (If boys and girls teams are separate, each team is $100). This is an entry fee, it is expected that the total amount be paid regardless of participation. Once registration close, the entry fees are non refundable. Make your checks payable to: Woodson High School and mail to: W.T. RULES: The current National Federation Track & Field Rule Book and rules established by the Virginia High School League will be followed.

CONCESSIONS: There will be concessions on sale throughout the meet.

TRACK: You may use 1/4 inch spikes or smaller

ADMISSIONS: Admission is $5 entry. Children under the age of 12 are admitted free. Admission gets you access to the Woodson student, middle school or open miles.
