Eligibility:
Current 7th and 8th grade students are allowed to participate

Entries:
Each school is allowed three entries per event. Only one relay per event per team will be allowed. VHSL rules regarding event limitations will apply. All athletes must belong to their middle school team and must be accompanied by a coach from that school. Entries are due by Tuesday, March 31st.

Submitting Entries:
You MUST use Hy-Tek Team Manager or Hy-Tek Team Manager Lite to submit your entries. Instructions on how to use TM Lite is attached. Location:
Cave Spring Middle School Outdoor Track.
Directions- from 419- Take Brambleton Ave. (221 South) towards Bent Mountain. Cave Spring Middle School is on the right. Please look for the signs to direct you to the track.

Bus Parking:
Buses will be asked to park in the upper parking lot on the western side of the school. You will see signs on meet day.

Entry Fees:
An entry fee of $50 per team ($100 for boys and girls teams together)
OR
Individuals: $10 per event or $20 per relay

Five or more student-athletes from a school is considered a team.

This is an entry fee, not a participation fee.

All entry fees are due by April 1, 2009.

Spectators
There will be a $3 admission fee to all spectators.

Awards:
The first three places will receive medals in each event.
The first place team will receive a trophy.

Individual MVP awards will be presented to:

1. Top M/F track event student-athlete
2. Top M/F field event student-athlete

We will take nominations for MVP awards from coaches anytime during the meet. Meet management will select from the submitted entries and award the individuals at the conclusion of the meet.

Scoring:
The first six places will score. The standard point distribution of 10, 8, 6, 4, 2, 1 in each event will count towards the overall team score.

Seeding:
Seeding for trials will be done randomly for all RUNNING EVENTS under 400 (except 300 hurdles-finals only). Finals will be the top six fastest times from the trials. All races 400 and up will be FINALS ONLY.

Finals in FIELD EVENTS will be the TOP SEVEN from the trials. Please be as accurate as possible with your entry marks! Running event seeding will run fast to slow. Field event seeding will be least to greatest

Long/Triple Jump:
Each jumper will be given three (3) jumps each in the preliminaries. Three (3) more jumps in the finals. Top eight jumpers will be taken to the finals.

High Jump:
