Schedule of events
Course opens- 11:00am
Coaches Meeting- 12:30pm
Girls Varsity Race- 1:00pm (Top 7)
Boys Varsity Race- 1:45pm (Top 7)
Alternate Race Mixed 12:00pm (Informal coaches will time this race)
Awards to follow (As soon as the results are ready)
Host School- Bassett High School (Coaches Kevin Underwood and Brandy Arnold)
Spectators There will be a $5.00 charge per vehicle per region policy (We will be set-up at the entrance to the complex) All cars will be directed to the main parking lot.
Teams competing: 3D Region Teams
Eligibility- 9-12 grade only for Varsity races. Seven runners only in the Varsity Championship Races (You may enter up to 10 runners on www.milestat.com )
Entries- Teams will enter through the Milestat platform www.milestat.com
entries are due on 11-01-22 at Noon. No paper entries are required
VHSL State Entry form: The paper copy will be in each packet and should be given to Coach Underwood before leaving the course. Each coach will also need to register every qualifying runner online at milestat.com. The paper copies will be sent to the state director as a means of checking online entries.
Starter/Clerk of Course: Kent Harris VHSL certified official
Appeals-Three coaches will be selected at coaches meeting for jury of appeals
Team Tent Area- Teams can locate team tents on the soccer field and if no tent the golf range shelter can be used also for team areas (Please clean up after meet trash bags will be provided
Course- Course is all grass and trails course will be well marked with orange flags, white paint, and cones
Awards- Trophies will be awarded to the top female team and the top male team. Certificates will be awarded to 1st-15th place finishers.
State Meet Qualification: The top 3 teams and the top 5 individuals not on the 3 teams will advance to the State meet.
Refreshments- Water, fruit, snacks will be at the finish line for all runners
Tee-Shirts- We will have 100 3D Regional XC Championship tee-shirts. The cost will be $20 (Cash only)
Coaches Hospitality: Bassett XC parents will provide snack/drinks for coaches
Trainer- Will be on site at the complex (Trainer will provide ice and medical assistance)
Buses-Once teams are dropped off at the entrance to XC course buses must park in the main parking lot
Bathrooms- There are bathrooms located at the main complex and there is a porta-john located near the start line (Coaches help us by telling your runners to not tear up the bathrooms)
