2023 Tidewater District Track & Field Meet Information

*This meet is used to determine regional qualifiers only. There will be no medals or team trophy awarded.

When: Thursday, May 18, 2023, 3 p.m. (Make-up date- TBD)

(Time subject to change based on transportation availability)

 

Location: Charles City County High School, Charles City, VA

 

Admission: $7.00. (Acceptable passes are administrative passes only).

 

Schedule

2:30 p.m.- Coaches Meeting

3:00 p.m.- Field Events Begin

4:00 p.m.- Running Events Begin (Rolling Schedule)

 

Entries: Each school may enter up to three participants in each event and one relay team per event. All participating athletes must have a registered mark/time to participate. Athletes with no times/distances will not be accepted. All marks/times will be verified (no time trials, practice times will be accepted). Only marks from the 2023 outdoor season will be used.

 

Entry Deadline: All entries will be done on Milestat.com. Deadline is Sunday, May 14, 5 p.m.

 NOTE: Please double check your entries before you submit them into the system. It is your responsibility as the coach to make sure every one of your athletes has the opportunity to compete. If you need additional help on how to use Milestat.com registration, please contact Andre' Jones.

 

Scoring and Timing: Scoring and timing will be handled by Charles City County High School. Fully Automated Timing (FAT) will be operated. Please make sure that your entries are submitted to the deadline date to ensure

accuracy and that all entries are entered into the system in a timely matter. Changes will not be accepted after May 14, 2023.

Coaches Meeting: No additions will be allowed at this meeting. Only deletions and name corrections will be allowed.

Disqualification: Competitors shall be disqualified from his/her event if a coach or team member is in a restricted area designated for competition. All non-competing athletes are not to be in the field during the events. Coaches and athletes are not to occupy the infield during running events unless they are competing in a field event.

Advancement to 1A Region A meet (for 1A Region A teams only): The top four athletes per event and top four relays per event among 1A Region A teams will advance to the Group 1A Region A championship. Athletes who meet the automatic qualifying mark/time from a meet with four or more teams and F.A.T. (including the championship meet) also qualify for the 1A Region A meet.

*NOTE for Tidewater District schools in 1A Region A: If the Tidewater District meet is canceled and cannot be made up, the top four performances according to Milestat.com per event will be the district's representatives in the 1A Region A championship meet.
