The track running events portion of this meet has been canceled and will not be rescheduled. 

This is the invitational meet at Waynesboro Track this Indoor Season. This meet is limited to Augusta County schools and schools in the neighboring districts of Augusta County. This meet was postponed for two weeks from the original date due to VHSL mandates requiring more practice time for track teams before the first meet. 

Important Note: It has been decided that we will hold this meet over 2 days: MON DECEMBER 12th at 5:00pm and MON DECEMBER 23rd at 5:00pm. 

FIELD EVENTS ONLY will take place on MONDAY, DECEMBER 12th at 5:00pm on our upper track. All FIELD EVENTS will be run by volunteer coaches including Waynesboro coaches. TRACK EVENTS ONLY will take place on MONDAY DECEMBER 23rd at 5:00pm with a professional officiator and timing company. Field event scores will be added to Milestat after the conclusion of Wednesday's meet.

Each school is limited in entries for each varsity event. There are heats in each category for both male and female athletes. Each team is limited to no more than 5 entries for each distance event (1000m, 1600m, 3200m) and 55m hurdles, no more than 5 entries for long jump, high jump, & pole vault, and no more than 8 entries for each sprinting event (55m dash, 300m) and shot put. Each school is limited to 1 relay teams per gender (4 x 800, 4 x 400) of 4-athlete teams with up to 2 alternates and limited to 2 relay teams per gender (4 x 200) of 4-athlete teams with up to 2 alternates each. No athlete is able to enter more than 3 track events and is only allowed to enter 2 track events if they enter the 3200m run. 

Each school is finally allowed to enter up to a limit in entries for each JV event. There are heats in each category for both male and female athletes. Each team is limited to no more than 2 entries for each distance event (1000m, 1600m, 3200m), 55m hurdles, and long jump, and no more than 3 entries for each sprinting event (55m dash, 300m) and shot put. Each school is limited to 1 relay team per gender (4 x 200, 4 x 400) of 4-athlete teams with up to 2 alternates. No JV athlete is able to enter more than 3 track events. These heats are designated for any athletes in the 8th grade or 9th grade ONLY. 9th grade athletes must participate as varsity OR JV. They may not be entered in both. 

As usual, this championship meet is a 'community' effort and as mentioned above, coaches will be asked to help in leading field events, including but not limited to, pole vault, long jump, triple jump, high jump, and shot put.

The schedule will be as follows:

Field Events on Monday November 28th at 5:00pm:

Mens and Womens Long Jump, then Mens and Womens Triple Jump (will run simultaneously in two pits).

Men's High Jump followed by Women's High Jump

Womens Pole Vault followed by Mens Pole Vault

Womens Shot Put followed by Mens Shot Put

Running Events on Monday December 23rd at 5:00pm

High Jump Only (Girls followed by Boys concurrent with running events)
