Dulles District Championship 2023

Eligibility: Three athletes per event. More than three may be entered if all athletes meet the district qualifying standard. See below.

MILESTAT ENTRIES ARE FINAL AND MUST MEET THE 3-EVENT RUNNING EVENT RULE. RELAY TEAM MEMBERS ARE NOT FINAL UNTIL THE RELAY CARD IS TURNED INTO THE CLERK. SINCE THIS IS A ONE DAY MEET, ANY ATHLETE ENTERED IN THE 3200 METER RUN IS ONLY ALLOWED ONE OTHER RUNNING EVENT.

Region 4A Shenandoah University, February 13, 2023 Time: 3pm

Qualifiers: (1) Top 6 places in district individual events and top 3 relay teams in district meet. (2) Any other athlete or relay team who has met regional/state standards in a 3 or more team meet and who is listed on milestat.

If the district championship date is canceled and meet cannot be held, all regional schools will be permitted two entries per individual event plus any additional qualifiers and one team per relay event.

Field Events: Jumps - four jumps and no finals.

Throws - four throws no finals.

Starting Heights: High Jump: Girls, 4'2", Boys, 5'2".

Athletes must check in and received their hip number prior to event start.

Check-in(bullpen) will be on the west end of stadium (near the start of the 500m)

Facility rules: No athletes on the infield. All warm-ups must be off the field.

Awards: Team Champions. Medals to top three in individual events and top two relay teams. Coaches should pick up awards packet prior to leaving the meet.

Officials: Key officials (referee, starter, finish line, FAT, jury of appeals) will be VHSL certified officials. Each team will be asked to provide help (coach, parent, administrator) to assist with relay exchanges, turn judging, and field event assistance.

Scoring: Individual 10-8-6-4-2-1 Relay 10-8-6-4-2-1

Team setup: No tents allowed in home bleachers, tents only on away bleachers or grass area near shot sector. Teams may sit in home bleachers in roped off areas.
