33rd Augusta County Track and Field Invitational

Where: Riverheads High School Track

Monday, May 1, 2023 

Buses are asked to Park behind the Riverheads Elementary School or lot below the high school.

4:30 PM - Coaches Meeting - Field house by track

5:00PM Field Events Start

6:30 to 6:45 PM Running Events Start

Entries:  Four (4) per individual varsity event and 1 relay team entry per race.

There will be few JV events available (LJ, Shot, Disc, 100M, 200M, 400M) at the meet for 8th-9th grade athletes.

Any athlete that competes in a JV event may not participate in any varsity events or relays during the meet.

Awards:  Medals in varsity for places 1st through 6th in the individual events and for the relays places 1stthrough 3rd JV events will have medals for places 1st through 3rd place.

Entry Fee: Entry Fee is $110.00 per school.

Shoes: NO SPIKES (Asphalt track and runway for pole vault & rubber runways for Long/Triple Jump)

Facilities: Come Dressed. Asphalt track and runway for Pole Vault. Concrete Circles. Rubber runways for Long and Triple Jump. Limited shade areas, team tents are allowed and need to be outside the competition area.

Concessions: Concessions will be operated by the RHS Boosters Club.

T-Shirts for this invitational will be available.

Spectators:$6.00 entry fee (age 5 and under free)

Athletic Trainer: Will be located by the fieldhouse.

 **NO CHANGES WILL BE ALLOWED ON THE DAY OF THE MEET UNLESS APPROVED BY MEET DIRECTOR BEFORE THE MEET STARTS.**Only Scratches.

(See VHSL Guidelines for Participation Rules) Uniform, as well as electronic devices in competition area, rules will be enforced: please prepare your athletes accordingly.

Order of Events:

4:30 PM Coaches Meeting in Moore Fieldhouse

4:45 PM1st Call for Field Events

5:00PM

Boys' and Girls' Long Jump (Open Pit 5:00 to 6:15PM, 3 jumps each athlete, top 7 Varsity three additional jumps)

Boys' and Girls' Triple Jump (Open pit following Long Jump), 3 jumps each athlete, top 7 Varsity three additional jumps)

Girls' Discus/Boys' Shot (followed by: Boys' Discus/Girls' shot).  Three trials for Shot and Disc with top 7 varsity advancing to the finals. Finalists receive three additional attempts.

Boys High Jump followed by Girls High jump (Starting heights Girls 4'-0", Boys 5'-0")

Boys' and Girls' Pole Vault will be run concurrently, starting  height 5'-0".

Coaches can pick up bags for medals in the press box 2nd floor when all their athletes have finished competition.
