Registration and Online Payment Deadline: Wednesday, May 10, 2022 at 8:00pm

  • Entry fee: $200.00 per team (this price includes both middle and high school, male and female). Payment is due at the time of registration and is ONLINE only via www.fhs-aa.org. Navigate to Online Store, select FHSAA 2023 Track Meet and follow instructions.

Entry restrictions: Each athlete is allowed to compete in 4 total events, each team is allowed 4 athletes per event and 2 relays per event.

  • 400 meter, six lane rubberized track. Discus cage, throwing circle, high jump mat and long jump pit. Spikes are allowed.
  • Restrooms are available.
  • Each team is responsible for bringing their own starting blocks, relay batons, and water containers.
  • Team Tents: Limit to ONLY along the short edges of the infield or outside the track (flat ground is limited). If line of sight is blocked we will ask you to move your tent. Do not set up tents on the HJ or LJ apron.
  • Volunteers: Each team may be asked to provide volunteers. If needed, volunteers will be assigned jobs at the Coaches Meeting. However, if you have experience in a certain area, please let the Meet Director know prior to the meet.
  • We will feature 2 divisions - a middle school and a high school division.
  • Team scoring: Top six. 1st place (10), 2nd (8), 3rd (6), 4th (4), 5th (2), 6th (1)
  • Discus Weights: HS Boys = 1.6 kg, HS Girls = 1 kg, MS Boys/Girls = 1 kg.
  • Shot Put Weights: HS Boys = 12 lbs, HS Girls/MS Boys = 8.8 lbs (4 kg), MS Girls = 6 lbs.
  • High Jump Starting Heights: HSG 3'8", HSB 4'8", MSG 3'4", MSB 3'10"

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS:

8:30 AM Coaches Meeting

8:45 AM Field Event Check-in and Warm Ups. 9:00 AM Field Events Begin - 3 Attempts

  • Long Jump: MS Boys & Girls first, then HS Boys & Girls. Triple Jump after LJ
  • High Jump: HS Girls, then HS Boys, then MS Girls, then MS Boys
  • Shot Put: MS & HS Boys first, then MS & HS Girls
  • Discus: MS & HS Girls first, then MS & HS Girls

9:00 AM Running Events Begin

  • 100/110 HURDLES
  • 100M DASH
  • 1600M RUN
  • 4X100M RELAY
  • 400M DASH
  • 300M HURDLES
  • 800M RUN
  • 200M DASH
  • 3200M RUN
  • 4X400M RELAY

SEVERE WEATHER POLICY:

In the event of severe weather:



  • We will work with the official starter and timing company in accordance with NFHS standards re. any decisions that need to be made


  • In the event we need to seek shelter during the meet, enter the school at entrance #11


  • Teams also have the option of going to their vehicles

In the event of lightning:



  • Following NFHS and Virginia High School Protocol, if we hear thunder or see lightning,(or if weather alert indicates lightning is 10 miles away - secondary to audio/visual) we will evacuate the track, seek shelter and suspend the meet for 30 minutes


  • Each time thunder is heard or lightning seen, 30 minute timer is reset
