Pole Green Preseason 4K

This is a preseason meet for Virginia schools looking for a fast and short race before the season kicks off. We will run the same 2K course used for the 2023/24 USATF Cross Country Championships.

For athletes under 20 years old (U20) they are eligible to compete in the USATF Championships to be held January 20, 2024. Women run a 6K and men an 8K. This race is NOT ASSOCIATED with the USATF race and has nothing to do with qualifying. We are simply running the same 2K loop course. If you have athletes who is interested in running the USATF Championship, this would be a great chance to preview the course!

Awards:

The Top 3 individuals of the high school and middle school races will be given Bobble Head Trophies.

Top 3 Teams for high school varsity and JV will be given plaques.

Schedule

5:00 pm - Middle School Boys

5:30 pm - Middle School Girls

6:00 - JV Boys

6:30 - JV Girls

7:00 - Varsity Boys

7:30 - Varsity Girls

Divisions:

High School Varsity (Girls/Boys)- 10 Runners per team

High School JV (Girls/Boys)- Unlimited Runners per team

Middle School (Girls/Boys)- Unlimited runners per gender

Community Race (Women/Men)- Unlimited entries

Middle School runners will compete as individuals. There will be NO team scoring for middle school races.

Home-Schooled Athletes:

This meet is VHSL-sanctioned for Virginia Member schools only. No other states will be allowed to run in the sanctioned portion of the meet. If you need further explanation, please call Tim at 407-748-4663.

This meet will be VHSL sanctioned for Virginia schools only. NOTICE TO VIRGINIA MEMBER SCHOOLS. You are hereby notified that home-schooled athletes will be competing in the high school division. Individual Entries:

High school coaches may enter individuals instead of their full squad into this event. Only high school coaches and no athlete or parent can enter an individual athlete into the meet to compete.
