One point ended up being the difference between the two teams with 37 points for Atlee and 38 points for Hanover.

Capital District Championships Virtual Meet Preview Oct 27, 2009

The Capital District boys team race is shaping up to be a three way dogfight between defending champions Atlee, Hanover, and Lee-Davis. Atlee has the best top three, but has been struggling to find a quality #4 and #5 runner. Hanover does not have a true front runner, but has the best depth. Lee-Davis has the individual favorite in junior Cody Snyder, but Atlee's Andrew Catanese (pictured by Ted Plunkett) is hoping he can get revenge on Snyder from an earlier season loss at Maymont after breaking 16 minutes in a recent Wednesday meet. The Lee-Davis girls should easily cruise to a district title as they prep for the regional meet at Pole Green with Hanover not at full strength with some key runners missing due to illness. Lee-Davis freshmen Bonny Turnage ran the fastest time yet on the new Pole Green Park course with her 18:17 performance in an earlier Wednesday meet.
