2023 Cross Country District Meet Program & Records

Times:Boys 11:30 am & Girls 12:30 pm
Awards:Plaque and 15 patches for the winning team (Girls and Boys). Medals for the top 15 finishers.Presentation of awards will take place as soon as the official meet results are available

school may enter a maximum of 10 athletes per gender. Entries must be received NLT Monday, October 23th, 2023 by 5:00pm. Entries MUST be done electronically using Hy-Tek Software or in Microsoft Excel (must include First Name, Last Name, Gender and Grade).Please send to John Kenny (jakenny@fcps.edu)
Championship:The winner of the meet will be declared the Concorde District Champion for both boys and girls.
Numbers:All participants must wear numbers on the front of their shirts. Packets may be picked up from Mr. Kenny at the scorer's table prior to the race.
Finish: Ipico chips will be used. A video camera will be set up at the finish and numbers will be used as the backup system to the chips.
Coaches Meeting:Participating team coaches will meet with the tournament director at 10:30am at the awards table for a pre-race coaches meeting.
Course:2.98 miles with a variety of surfaces including dirt trails, grass and pavement
Scoring:Top 5 from each school score for the event.Tie breaking procedure allows for the 6th & 7th athlete from tying schools to be scored.
Locker & Restrooms:There will be no locker facilities available. Restrooms are located at the marina, one-half mile from the starting line. Teams are responsible for clean-up of their own warm-up areas in the park. Everyone must stay off of the fence and outside of the golf course area.
Advancement:Top 4 teams will advance to Regionals and any runner in top 15 inclusive of the team.
