Jury of Appeals- Rodney Smith (EC Glass), Mckinley Johnson (Brookville), Lance Carter (Amherst); Backup- Ben Wiese (LIberty)
Eligibility: Each school may enter up to three (3) athletes per individual event and 1 relay team. To enter more than 3 entries in an event, ALL entries must meet the District Standard.
Entries: Entries will be made using MileStat with Shawn Webb in charge of entries.
Entries are due no later than Wednesday, January 31st, 2024 by 11pm.Any corrections, near qualifiers or scratches must be emailed before 12:00pm on February 1st, 2024 to Shawn Webb at webbse@lcsedu.net. At this time entries will be final and no additions will be made. Please send completed VHSL District Verification Forms. Scratches only can be made at the coaches meeting.
Coaches will turn in a Sportsmanship Form and an Equipment Certification Form at the coaches meeting. The forms are part of this packet. They will also be available at the coaches meeting.
Advancement: For 3A schools, the Top 6 Individuals in each event and the Top 3 relays automatically advance to the Region 3C Meet, as well as all athletes who have met the Region 3C Standard. 4A Schools do not have automatic qualifiers to their Region Meet.Team Area: Each school should set up their "Team Camp" within the hallways/ Cafeteria adjacent to the Fieldhouse. Each school will need to provide workers for the meet. The assignments are listed below.
Heritage- Clerking/ Exchange Zones/ Meet Setup
Amherst- Boys and Girls PV
Rustburg- Boys and Girls HJ
Glass- Boys and Girls Shot (4 throws, No Finals)
Liberty/LCA- Boys and Girls Long Jump (4 jumps, No Finals)
Brookville/ JF- Boys and Girls Triple Jump (4 jumps, No Finals)Starting Heights:
Girls HJ: 4-02 Girls PV: 6-00
Boys HJ: 5-02 Boys PV: 7-00
*These starting heights are from 2023, but will be adjusted based upon the field of entries into the meet.
Check-in: Check-in will be set up near the start line for the 55m dash. Athletes must check in to get their hip number by the second call. They must then be at the check-in area at the third call to be led to the start line. Field events are to check in at the event.
Team Personnel: All team personnel, managers, scorekeepers, etc. must enter with the team.
