The Augusta Invitational Cross Country meet will be held Saturday, Sept. 14, 2024 at Wilson Memorial High School.

Entry Fees:  

$100 per varsity team, or $190 combined boys and girls (this includes varsity race as well as developmental entries)

$100 per single gender middle school team, or $175 combined boys and girls

We will have chip timing again this year. Packets and bibs will be provided for coaches.

Entries:

Entries will be done online at Milestat.com. You may race up to 10 individuals in the Varsity races. Make sure your team is registered on the Milestat site and then go to the Augusta Invitational date and register your athletes. 

Race Schedule:

8:30 a.m.  Coaches meeting

9:00 a.m. Middle School-Girls-(grades 6-7-8) 2-mile race*. Unlimited entries

9:30 a.m. Middle School-Boys- (grades 6-7-8) 2-mile race*.  Unlimited entries

10:00 a.m.Varsity Boys 5K race. (May enter up to 10 runners per team)

 10:30 a.m.Varsity Girls 5K race. (May enter up to 10 runners per team)

11:00 a.m. Developmental 5K (boys/girls together) 9-12 Unlimited entries

Course:

Varsity Boys-Girls-5,000 meters (Course is same as previous years)



Start and finish in front of old School Board 
Office on WWRC Softball field. Mostly grass and gravel. Middle school will run a 2-mile course*.

*Middle school race may be changed to a 4k.  Will update when finalized.

Boys: (2017)16:11 by Oliver Wilson-Cook, Robert E Lee (now Staunton High School)

Girls: (2011)19:10 by Hannah Rose, Wilson

Parking:  Buses need to be parked in the old school board personnel parking lot or across from the Valley Vocational Tech School/Shenandoah Valley Regional Governor's School.

Admissions:  There will be a spectator admission fee of $ 7.00.

There will be T-Shirts for sale.

At this point we are running only one division. If the meet gets larger then we will look at providing two divisions based on VHSL/VISSA classifications.

There are no divisions for middle schools.

Awards

Middle School will have medals to 15 places and team trophy each for girls and boys team champions.

Varsity will have medals to 15 places and team trophy each for girls and boys team champions.

Developmental will have medals to the top 10 places for boys and top 10 places for girls.
