Entry Limit Due to Large Number of Teams: 8 per individual event and 2 relays

Welcome to the 1st ever Bulldog Under the Lights.  We are excited to finally have our own facility and we look forward to continuing the tradition of the Bulldog Invitational indoor meet in outdoor season.

Our new facility houses an 8 lane 14mm Strobitan Sandwich System surface.  We have brand new Gill equipment and mats.  The stadium seats 4500.  LCA will be the host school for the 2024 Seminole District Outdoor Qualifier and the 2024 Region 3C Outdoor Championship.

Entry Fee: $300 for a combined team or $150 for a single gender team (limit 2 relays per relay event).  $20 for an individual athlete (5 or more athletes of one gender make up a team).  $10 for each additional relay above 2 per relay event. 8 individuals per event.  

We will have a hospitality room with dinner for coaches and officials.

Directions: Once you turn onto Candlers Mountain Road from either direction, proceed to the Thomas Road Baptist Church Sign and turn in at the light. Proceed on the road through the church parking lots and through the4-way stop sign. Proceed down the hill. Bus parking will be to the left along the white fence.

 Entry Information: Entries are due by 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 11. Entries will be done online through Milestat. Once entries close, athletes are considered declared. Final scratches will be taken at the coaches meeting. Only

scratches can be made at that time.  Entry Limit due to large number of teams:  8 per individual event and 2 relays.

Awards: Team trophies will be awarded to the top team (boys and girls).

Medals will be awarded to the top three places including relays.

Bus Parking: All buses shouldpark directly in front of the white fencing above the practice soccer

fields. These spots will be coned off for buses.  In the event of bad weather, your team bus will be used to house all your team members.  

Admission: $10.00 - NO passes

Spectators: Spectators can watch the meet from either the home or visitor bleachers. Bleachers will be available at the throwing areas, as well. Please stay behind the flag barriers for the safety of both the student-athletes and other spectators at the throwing venues. 

 No spectators will be allowed on the infield. Coaches onlyare allowed on the infield.

Tents/Team Area: Teams can set up anywhere on the lower soccer field across the street from the stadium. Warmups will take place on the upper soccer field. Any athlete needing more space to warmup may do so around campus at their own risk. There should be NO TEAM CAMPS ON THE BLEACHERS!  Bleachers are for spectators

only.  

Scoring:10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1 for both individual and relay events

Starting Heights: The starting height for the pole vault and high jump will be determined using the field of entered

students.

Warm-ups: Warm-ups for running events should be completed on the upper soccer field across from the stadium. Any athlete choosing to use areas of campus to warmup does so at their own risk. The track will be open for

warm-ups from 4:00-5:30. Hurdlers will be allowed to warm-up in the outer lanes during the 4x800m relay.  The

amount of time allotted for warm-ups for the field events will be determined by the officials running the event and is dependent on the number of athletes competing in each event.

Spikes: inch (or smaller) pyramid spikes are to be used on the track and all runways/track surfaces. Spikes will be checked.

Athletic Trainer: A trainer will be onsite. The trainer can provide first aid care and ice. Any athlete needing to be taped must provide their own tape and pre-wrap.

Water Stations: There will be multiple water stations around the areas of competition.

Clerking: Participants can check in at the clerking area to get their hip numbers at any time. We ask  that participants are in the bullpen by 2nd call so that they can move to the starting  line after the 3rd call. Check in for field events will be at each field event.

Coaches are allowed on the infield.  All participants should exit the track at the gate nearest the start line for the 100m.  Athletes jumping the fence risk disqualification from the meet.  

No electronic devices should be used in the infield areas.

Relay cards: Please turn in relay cards to the bullpen when checking in. Please be sure to include school, gender,

event, and relay team members.

Timing: FAT timing by Blue Ridge Timing will be used. Results will be posted on online at blueridgetiming.com.  

Declaration Rule: Scratching a participant from an event does not affect any remaining events that the athlete

may be entered in. However, once a participant is declared in the maximum number of track events (3 or 2 if in the 3200), coaches may not scratch them from an individual event and then enter them into a relay.

Concessions: Concessions will be available throughout the meet near the entrance gate. Food trucks will be

available in the back parking lot near the visitor stands.

T-Shirts:Bulldog Under the Lights apparel will be for sale during the meet.

Hospitality Room:LCA will be providing a hospitality room with dinner for coaches and officials.

5:00 p.m. Girls/Boys Long Jump (4 jumps, no

finals) followed by Girls/Boys Triple Jump (4 jumps, no finals)- open pit for long and triple

Girls High Jump followed by Boys High Jump, Boys Discus followed by Girls Discus (4 throws no finals), Girls Shot Put followed by Boys Shot Put (4 throws, no finals), Girls Pole Vault followed by Boys Pole Vault

*We will not be holding up field

events for athletes who have to participate in running events. Long and triple are open pit. Shot and discus can be thrown out of order, if needed. The bar will go up for high jump and pole vault as is the rule.

All track events will be Girls followed by Boys.
