2024 Group 5A Region C Indoor Track and Field Championships:
Meet Information. Date to be chosen based on weather. Window for the meet will start on Feb. 10 and end on Feb. 17, 2024. Current tentative dates:Saturday, Feb. 10 and Monday, Feb. 12. We will confirm this date by noon on Feb. 9. If we move the date, all deadlines for entries will be adjusted.

Saturday: Louisa County High School Outdoor Stadium.

Equipment:
Starting Blocks will be furnished by meet management.All other equipment, team or personal, must be supplied by competing teams and individuals.All Shots must be certified by the meet official prior to competition. 1/8 or " Pyramid Spikes will be the only spikes allowed. Coaches, please make sure your athletes have legal spikes for this meet. No needle spikes or spikes longer than ".
Uniforms:
Athletes are required to wear their official school approved uniform.Relay team members must have matching uniforms as per National Federation Rules. Hip numbers must be worn if furnished.
Dressing:
Athletes are to come to the meet dressed to compete.
Entry Limitations:
Each school is allowed THREE (3) entries in each individual event, and ONE (1) relay team per relay event.Additional athletes per event allowed if all athletes meet the Regional Qualifying Standard for the event.
Relay Teams:
Relay teams will be officially declared on a relay declaration card when the team reports to the clerk of the course for check-in. At that time a maximum of six (6) athletes from the entry roster may be listed, any four (4) of which may run. Make sure you list all possible relay legs in your online entry and on your VHSL entry form. Athletes entered in individual events need not be relisted as relay legs for the on-line entry. Individual entries may be used on relays, provided they do not exceed VHSL entry limitations.
Entries:
All entries must be submitted online via Milestat no later than Thursday, February 8, 2024 by 9:00 P.M. Only performances verified by the milestat database for the current Indoor Season (2023-24) will be allowed for entry.Only VHSL Meet times are allowed:Club Meet times will not be accepted for seeding purposes. We will follow the same Declaration Rule as written in the VHSL Handbook.Once athletes are declared at the entry deadline, their total allowable events are declared.Relay members listed on the relay cards who actually run are considered declared.Coaches need to e-mail Coach Cutright the VHSL Regional entry form by Friday, February 9th no later than 2:00 P.M. Send the forms to cutrigjl@lcps.k12.va.us. These forms will be used to backup milestat entries, will be on file if needed and are considered official for entry purposes.Athletes may be entered in a maximum of three (3) running events, or two if in the 3200 M run if a one day schedule has to be used.For a two day meet athletes may run one additional running event on the day of the 3200m and one or two the day before for a total of threeThere is no limit on Field Events for each individual. MIlestat entries are set at 3 per event for individual events.Email additional entries to Coach Cutright if all athletes meet the regional standard to cutrigjl@lcps.k12.va.us. Standards have been sent to athletic directors and are also in the Region Handbook.
State Meet Qualifying:
The top THREE (3) finishers in each individual event and the top THREE (3) relay teams from the Region Meet. Athletes who meet or have met the State Qualifying Standard for their event may also be entered in the State Meet.
Meet Management:
Each school will be responsible for helping run an event and/or assisting as relay zone judges or turn judges. Coaches contact Coach Cutright for your preferences for assisting with an event by February 1.Assignments will be announced by February 5th.
Exchange Zone Judges Meet with Coach Cutright one event prior to each relay.

SUPERVISION OF YOUR ATHLETES AT THIS MEET IS ESSENTIAL.PLEASE MAKE SURE YOUR ATHLETES UNDERSTAND THAT THEY MUST BE ON THEIR BEST BEHAVIOR AND TAKE CARE OF EACH FACILITY.PLEASE MAKE SURE YOUR AREAS ARE CLEANED UP BEFORE LEAVING THE MEET.NO FOOD OR DRINK INSIDE THE TRACK AREA.ATHLETES NEED TO STAY OUT OF UNAUTHORIZED AREAS.ALL SPORTSMANSHIP RULES ARE IN EFFECT FOR THIS MEET.

1/4 or 1/8 inch pyramid spikes only.
Infield Restriction during the running events: Athletes may warm up on the infield up to 30 minutes before the start of the running events. After that, athletes may be on the infield 20 minutes before the scheduled start of their event. When the running events start: Workers only on the infield. Coaches must leave the infield unless they are helping officiate an event.
