Dominion District: Lautzenheiser sets meet record, Nunn leaps Lancers to win, Cosby wins 1st title Feb 16, 2010

In her first 1600 meter race of the season, Kathleen Lautzenheiser (photo by John Herzog) set a new Dominion District meet record with one of the fastest recorded times ever in the Arthur Ashe Center. On the 145 meter spikeless track surface, Lautzenheiser motored around 11 laps in a time of 5:08.16. She later doubled back to win the 1000 meter with a time just off the meet record in 3:07.66. The Midlo girls also got a double individual winner in the rare area of the sprints with sophomore Kendall Sims in the 55 and 300 meter dash. It was not enough though to defeat Manchester for the district title behind the efforts of Nikki Nunn with three runners-up on the track and two first place marks in the long jump and triple jump. With only a single individual champion, the Cosby boys (113 pts) relied more on a collective team effort as well as two relay victories in the 4x200 and 4x400 meter relay to to help CoachBryan  Still and the Titans get over the hump to secure their first indoor title in school history.   Dominion District Meet Complete Results
