3rd ANNUAL PEPSI FIVE STAR INVITATIONAL

    SANCTION

    This meet is sanctioned for Virginia, Tennessee, and Kentucky High School teams.  All athletes must be a current member of their high school team and must be accompanied by a coach from that team. All schools must be a member of a State Association that is a member of the NFHS or an approved association.

ATHLETE PARTICIPATION LIMIT: 

3 running events (Athletes entered in the 3200 meter run may only be entered in one additional running event including relays) and unlimited field events

ENTRIES
All entries must be input through Milestat.com.  Each school is allowed to enter 4 athletes and 2 relay teams per event (B Teams will be non-scoring teams).  Additional entries can be made in individual events for $10.00 per additional entry.  You will need to email your additional entries to sheena.carroll@lee.k12.va.us.  All entries must be entered by Midnight on Thursday, April 10th, 2025.  No entries will be accepted after this date.

ENTRY FEE

The entry fee is $100.00 per team (boys or girls) or $150.00 for both boys and girls teams.  Schools can also enter by paying $15.00 per athlete and or $30 per relay up to a max of $100 per team or $150.00 per school.  5 athletes will be considered a team.  Entry fees can be paid by mailing a check to Lee High School Track & Field 200 Generals Ln. Jonesville, VA 24263.  Teams can also bring a check the day of the meet.

INDIVIDUAL/TEAM AWARDS

The top two schools, boys and girls, will receive plaques.  Each event winner will receive a Pepsi Five Star Invitational event winner T-shirt.  The top three individuals will receive medals along with the top three relays.  Finishers 4-6 in each event and relays will receive ribbons.

Special Awards will also be given to the Male/Female High Point Scorer, Male/Female Distance MVP, Male/Female Sprints-Hurdles MVP, Male/Female Jumps MVP, and Male/Female Throws MVP.

TEAM DROP-OFF/BUS PARKING

THE TRACK FACILITY WILL OPEN AT 9:30 AM ON SATURDAY, 4/12.  Athletes and coaches can be dropped off at the gate located at the top of the home bleachers for entry.  After drop off, buses will need to continue to the top of the hill to the baseball parking lot to turn around.  Bus Parking will be available in the Vocational/School Board Parking lot at the bottom of the hill.  This is located across the street from the stadium.

PACKET PICK-UP

Packet pick-up will be on the scoreboard end of the track under the white tent.  Day-of-meet payment can also be taken care of here.

COACHES HOSPITALITY

A meal will be provided for coaches of each team.   Meal Tickets will be provided in your team packets.

WEIGH-INS

Weigh-ins will take place in the shot put area outside the stadium beginning at 9:45 am.  Only APPROVED IMPLEMENTS are to be in the throws areas.

TEAM TENTS/SET-UP

Team tents can be set up at the top of the home bleachers.  Please help us ensure everyone's safety by securing your tents properly.  Coaches, have your athletes remove spikes before entering the bleachers.  Trash bags will be provided at packet pick-up.  Please help us keep our facility clean by removing all trash upon completion of the meet.

WARM-UPS

A designated warm-up area in the infield will be flagged off on the scoreboard side of midfield for on deck athletes only. The running clerks will escort on deck athletes to this area for warm-ups.  No other athletes should be in this area or in the infield.  The track will be open for warm-ups from 9:30-10:45 am.  The back stretch (straight) will be closed once field events begin at 10:45 am. From 10:45 am-12:45 pm, only those athletes involved in field events or the 4x800 relays will be allowed in the infield warm-up area or the open portion of the track.  Field event officials will be present at each field event area for athletes to begin warming up at 9:45 am.

ATHLETE CHECK-IN/BULLPEN

Check-ins/bullpen for running events will be on the scoreboard end of the track under the white (girls) or blue (boys) tents.  Check-ins for field events will take place at the location of the event.  

All athletes and coaches, listen for announcements of 1st, 2nd, and Final calls.  If an athlete has not checked in by final call, they will be scratched from the event.  After 2nd call, athletes will remain in bullpen.  Athletes will be taken to the warm-up area when on deck and to the event start by running clerks.  Once an athlete has completed their event, they will return to the bullpen to collect their belongings and exit to team camp.

Only 1/4 inch spikes can be worn by athletes.

         * In the event of lightning, all teams will be escorted to the Lee High School auditorium. 
            Please no spikes in the auditorium.  All spectators will need to report to their vehicles until
            notified by meet management.

SPECTATOR PARKING

Parking will be available for spectators along Stadium Drive, in the Vocational/School Board parking lot across the street from the stadium, and in the parking lot in front of Lee High School.

SPECTATOR ADMISSION

Admission will be $6.00 for spectators 6 and older.

CONCESSIONS

Concessions will be available in the concession stand near the main entrance to the stadium.

RESTROOMS

Restrooms for public and team use will be located inside Five Star Stadium. (same building as concession stand)

Pepsi Five Star Invitational T-shirts will be available for purchase for $20.00

Five Star Stadium is located on the campus of Lee High School in Jonesville, VA.  The address for Lee High School is 200 Generals Ln. Jonesville, VA. 24263.
