Welcome to the inaugural Fluvanna Middle School Invitational! Help us christen our brand new track with the area's new go-to spring invitational. We hope to provide you and your athletes a high-caliber, fun track experience.
When: Friday, May 2nd (NEW DATE)
2:00pm: Gates open for visiting teams
2:30pm: Gates open for spectators
2:30pm: Coaches Meeting at timers tent
3:00: Field events begin
Shot Put: Girls first, Boys second
Discus: Boys first, Girls second
Long Jump (Open Pit): Girls first, Boys second
4pm: Running events begin (Girls heats, then boys)
4x800m Relay (Girls and Boys together)
100m Hurdles
100m Dash
1600m Run
4x100m Relay
400m Dash
200m Hurdles
800m Run
200m Dash
3200m Run (boys and girls combined)

Registration:
This meet will be limited to 12-15 schools, depending on team sizes. When you register as a team, you are granted six entries for each event and one relay team per relay event. Athletes can be in no more than three running events (the 3200m counts as two) and no more than five total events, including field. The same limitations apply for those registering as individuals.
Entry Fees:
The cost for entries are as follows:
Boys / Girls only = $150
Boys and Girls combined = $250
Individuals: $15 per event
Unattached Relay: $30
Entry fees must be paid out to Fluvanna Middle School prior to the day of the meet. Checks can be made out to Fluvanna Middle School and mailed to 3717 Central Plains Rd. Palmyra, VA 22963 Attn: Marcus Carter.
Timing
The meet will feature fully-automated timing, courtesy of McCorory Meet Management
Live results will be available throughout the meet.
Procedure for timing:
Check-in for races 400m and longer will be on the end of the field closest to the finish line.
Check-in for races 100m and 200m long will be on the other side of the infield. Only athletes who are checked in for a race may be on the infield at any time.
Spikes
This is VERY important! Only 1/8-inch spikes are allowed. Any athletes who intend to race in spikes must get their shoes checked at the spike check tent and marked with a zip tie. Athletes who race or compete in spikes without a zip tie may be disqualified.
Athletes who are in need of new spikes may purchase some from our spike check tent. Assistant may also be there to help switch them out.

Awards
Medals will be given to the top three finishers in each event, including relays.
Athletes/coaches will be responsible for claiming awards at the award tent on the infield. Results for each event will be announced as they become available. After the announcement, the athletes/coaches should come to the press box to claim their medal. . If you think your team could win a trophy, do not leave without checking with meet officials.
Parking
Parking for the meet will be available in the lower parking lot nearest the track and the parking lot up by the school. Please do not drive up the gravel road leading directly to the gates of the track. We must keep that driveway clear for meet and emergency personnel.
Standby for additional parking/drop-off information
Tents
Teams should set up their camps in the grassy area behind the bleachers. Athletes can walk in and out through the back gate. Please keep the bleachers clear for spectators. No athletes should be mingling on the infield without a coach present.
Tickets
Tickets for spectators are $6 and should be purchased online prior to the meet. Spectators can purchase tickets to the event here: (https://gofan.co/event/3228208?schoolId=VA12266) Your phone will then be your ticket. Tickets are $8 at the gate.
Concessions will also be available! Come hungry!
