2025 CEDAR RUN DISTRICT OUTDOOR TRACK CHAMPIONSHIP-MAY 12 & 15

1.0 Eligibility: All participants must have competed in at least one (1) competition during the regular season.
1.1 All participants must be on the MEL.
2.0 Entering the Cedar Run District Outdoor Track Championship Meet:
2.1 All entries will be done on Milestat. Please make sure your rosters are up-to-date and names are spelled correctly.
2.2 ENTRIES MUST BE COMPLETED BY Sunday, May 11, 2025 at 4PM. Please make sure all marks are in the Milestat database. All entries will be verified. Permissible marks must be achieved in a VHSL sanctioned meet with a minimum of (4) teams.
The meet must be FAT for running event performances.
Converted hand times must be properly converted with a minimum of (10) teams in the meet. Hand times will be seeded after all FAT'ed marks are seeded.
2.3 Cedar Run District Championship entry limits per team: 1 relay and 3 individuals per event.
More than 3 individuals may be entered if all have achieved the Cedar Run District qualifying standard.
2.4 Individual Participation: In one meet, a contestant may compete in any number of field events but shall be limited to participation in only three running events. If one of the running events is the 3200m, an athlete may only run one other event in the same day that the 3200m is being contested.
2.4a. PERFORMANCES ATTAINED IN CLUB SANCTIONED MEETS ARE NOT PERMITTED. If a club sanctioned meet performance is used; they will be deleted from entry. It is the coach's responsibility to ensure that all entries are accurate, verified and meet VHSL requirements.
2.5 THERE IS NO STRATCH MEETING.YOUR ENTRIES ARE DECLARED ONCE THE DEADLINE CLOSES Sunday, May 11th at 4PM.
2.6 Declaration Rule is in effect. For example, you may enter an athlete in the 100m, 200m, 4x 400m, if you scratch the athlete from the 200m they may still run the 4 x 400m but you cannot add them to another event.
If you are un-sure please contact Kevin Weeren (Director). However, if you enter an athlete in MORE THAN 3 running events (2 events if one is the 3200m) athlete will be deleted from the last events working in backwards order, regardless of whether or not they have or have not competed in the event.
2.7 This may be a retroactive discovery in which time, marks, and scoring will be deleted from the results.
2.8 Rules: 2025 edition National Federation Rule Book and the 2024-2025 edition of VHSL Handbook
2.9 Fill out all slots for your relays and on your relay cards.
2.10 Scoring: 10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1
2.11 Determination of District Championship: There will be a boys and girls team champion based of highest overall score at the conclusion of the competition.
2.11a Advancing to the 6B region Championship: Top 6 finishers in the individual events and top 3 finishers in the relay events. Additional advancers are athletes who have met the Automatic Qualifying marks for Reg/States.
2.12 Awards: Top 3 medal. Trophy to team winner.
2.13 Admission: Going rate for Cedar Run District Championship events
2.14 Spectators and non-competing athletes are not allowed in the competition area. This includes the in-field and the field event areas.
2.15 Teams will be allowed to set up on the home side bleachers NOT the finish line bleachers. No teams on the infield or competition areas.

DAY 1-May 12th, 2025
Field events competition begins 2:00 pm
Implement Certification:
Girls Shot: 4.0kg Girls Discus: 1.0kg Boys Shot: 12 LBS Boys Discus 1.6k
Vaulters will certify their poles and weigh-in the Vault Venue.
Spikes: 1/4" pyramid only.
Multiple Event Athletes: Athletes must check in and out of events if they are contesting additional events occurring simultaneously.
Athletes must return to event within 15 minutes of check out time. Once the event closes, no further jumps or throws may be performed or contested.
Verticals: the bar will advance as dictated by the competition and will not be held to accommodate athletes who are checked out for another event.
Round 1 of Field Events:
Start Time- 2 pm - Round 2 begins 30 minutes after 1st round is completed.

OH HJ: G 4-06 B 5-06 Bar will advance 2" until (2) competitors remain in the field, then advancement will be by 1".
LJ, TJ, S: 3 attempts in prelims, then 9 to finals. However, if entries do not support this then it will be finals only, 4 attempts.
OH PV: G-6-06 B 9-03 Bar will advance 6" until (2) competitors remain in the field, then advancement will be by 3".
**Opening heights are (1) bar below the 2025 Cedar Run District Standard.
4x800m Relay: TBD. Girls followed by Boys
