Rules: All National Federation Rules will be in effect including uniform and athlete conduct. Please review all rules with your athletes before the meet.
Entry Deadlines: Entries are due through Milestat by 7:00pm October 14th, 2025. This meet is only open to public schools whom are members of the Dogwood District, Piedmont District, and/or private schools residing in Pittsylvania County.
Entry Fees: Please bring your payment of $75 per school if you are bringing 5 or more runners, or $10 per athlete if you are bringing fewer than 5 runners. Please note, the $75 fee includes both the boys and girls contests. For the Middle School race, the entry fee is $25 per school.
Concessions: Food Trucks may be available, but not confirmed.
Team Packets: Team packets will be available for pick-up at the finish line upon arrival. A hard copy of the course map will be provided in the team packet. Please use the trash bag included in the team packet to collect all trash from your team area.
Awards: The Danville Running & Fitness Club will be sponsoring the meet and awarding medals to the top 15 individual finishers in each varsity race. A team trophy will be awarded to the first and second place teams in each varsity race. The top 10 male and top 10 female individual finishers in the middle school race will also receive a medal. A team trophy will be awarded to the first place teams in each MS race.
Restrooms: Limited restrooms and portable toilets are available on site. There are no dressing rooms available.
Team areas: There is a large picnic shelter available on a first come first serve basis, but please be considerate to allow space for other teams to also utilize the shelter. Team canopies are acceptable and may be established in the grass adjacent to the picnic shelter, along the tree line adjacent to the river, or between the parking lot and start/finish field. No canopies are allowed inside the start/finish field.
Bus Parking: Buses will drop athletes off by the finish line and then park at the Danville Visitors Center located at 645 River Park Drive Danville, VA 24540.
General Admission Parking: To help cover the rising cost of hosting large meets, Galileo will be collecting $5 cash per vehicle (not per person) for parking. Parking areas will fill up quickly, so car-pooling is encouraged. Please notify your team fans to bring cash for parking.
Course Address: 350 Northside Dr, Danville, VA 24540
Directions: Follow US-29/HWY-265 (Danville Expressway) and exit via the Dan Daniel Park ramp. From this point, follow the brown Public Boat Landing Anglers Park Signs which will lead you in the opposite direction of the Dan Daniel Park entrance onto Riverpark Drive. Once on Riverpark Drive, turn right onto Stinson Drive and then turn left onto Northside Drive. Anglers Park is located at the end of this road.
