Location:  Woodberry Forest Track, Woodberry Forest Academy 

Date: Saturday, February 14th, 2026

Time: Coaches Meeting 0900 AM; Field events start 0900 AM; Running events start 0930 AM with the 3200, limited to no more than three entries from each school. We will hold one Boys and one Girls heat for the 3200 and 1600 but may combine G/B heats if there are fewer than 12 total runners. for MS and JV Divisions

0900-1100- Field Events -LJ and Shot, then HJ (start right after Coaches meeting)

0930-1000 - 3200, 2/3 heats -G-then B-(Same sequence for all events-5th grade, MS, JV ) 
1000-1020- 55 Dash - 8-12 heats 
1020-1045 - 4x800 Relay - 3 heats 
1045-1100 -300 Dash -6-8 heats
1100-1115 - Officials Break 
1115-1140 -200 Dash - 10-14 Heats --No JV 
1140 -1200-1600 Run - 4-5 Heats -
1200-1210  Mixed SMR- 2 Heats MS and then JV  (G 200-B 200, G 400-B 800)
1210-1220 -4x200 Relay - 3 Heats MS G then B the -JV G/B Together if only 4 teams 
1220-1245 - 400 Dash - 12-16 Heats
1245-1300-1000 M Run 4-5 Heats
1300-1305- 4x400 Relay -3 Heats MS G then B the -JV G/B Together if only 4 teams
Runners pick up awards after each event result is announced. 
Awards 1320-1st Place Girls and 1st Place Boys Teams  JV and MS

We will move events up if we are running ahead of schedule

Entries: Meet entries are due to Milestat by Thursday, Feb 12th at 6 PM. Teams may enter up to three or 4  athletes per grade per event and two relay teams,  Please be honest with entry times/distances to maintain the integrity of seeding. Entries must be submitted on Milestat; no other form of entries will be accepted. 

MS Athletes are allowed to compete in four running events, including relays, (JV under VHSL are restricted to 3 running events)  and participate in as many field events as they wish(Shot, High Jump, Long Jump) This meet is limited to Middle School and (JV-9/10) ATHLETES ONLY. We will also have a 5th-grade 200 and 1600 that will not count towards MS team scores. (No more than three entries per team) 

Grade Level Competition - There will be grade level competition for the following individual events: 55-(6,7,8), 200-(6,7,8), 3200 6,/7, then 8th ) ,400 (6,7,8) 1000 (6/7, then 8th), 1600 (6/7th, then 8th),  Girls heats, then boys slowest to fastest 

LJ., HJ are 6, 7 and 8th together and Shot is  6/7 together and then 8th  --No triple jump or pole vault 

Scratches: Athletes may scratch from an event on the day of the meet and still compete in other events for which they are declared. 

Implements: Shots will be weighed and verified at the shot put area starting at 0900 AM. Shot put, LJ and HJ will start at 0900, MS Shot Boys =4KG 8.8 LBs, Girls = 2.72KGs 6.6 Lbs-JV Use HS Implements -Must bring your own

Field Event Check-in/Out Procedure: Athletes participating in another event will be given no more than 15 minutes to return to their designated event. After that time, their name will be called and they will have one minute to complete their attempt, or it will be considered a foul/scratch. If a flight has completed before the athlete returns, that athlete will forfeit any remaining attempts. In the High Jump, the bar will not be held for a checked-out athlete. Once all competitors have finished at the current height, the bar will be raised. Athletes will be given a pass and will be allowed to take their remaining attempts at the next height.

Meet program: 3200, 55,  4x800, 300, 15 Min Break,1600, 200, Mixed SM Relay (200,200,400,800-G-B-G-B), 4x200, 400, 1000,  4x400 (any MS runner who runs the 3200 can run two additional running events)   Heats are Girls then Boys -Slow then Fast - for example, 55 goes with 6th Grade Girls, then 7th Grade Girls,  then 8th , then Boys, - Heats will be set and published NLT 13 Feb and no changes can be made unless it is a scratch at the meet. On race day, if there is a minor change, such as a substitute runner in a specific heat, it is up to the timing crew to determine whether the change can be made. 

Blocks will be used only for the 55  Rainbow starts are used for  1000 (6-8 per heat), 1600, and 3200 Heats-(12-16 per heat)  One Full lap stagger for 200 .(4 per heat) and 400 (4/6 per heat)

Facility: 

200m rubber track (6 Lane straight and 4 lane full track), runways, and high jump area. Locker rooms available. Restrooms are located in the lobby.  Spikes: pyramid ONLY. All spikes must be checked between 0900 and 10:30 in the Clerking Area. Please remove any zip ties from previous meets. Admission: free for spectators. . Concessions: Henley Parents will offer concessions throughout the day. Timing/Results: Live Results provided by Blue Ridge Timing. A link will be provided as the day of the meet approaches.

Miscellaneous: 

Coaches are responsible for checking their entries prior to submission. Long Jump and Shot Put events will consist of 3 practice attempts, followed by 4 final attempts. Starting Heights for HJ: TBD based on entries. Awards: Medals will be awarded to the top 3 individuals and the top two relay teams. Individual awards can be picked up as soon as they are announced. Trophies will be awarded to the top two boys and girls teams. T-shirts will be available to athletes at no cost with a coupon provided to coaches, while supplies last. Runners' names will be on the back of the shirt. Running events will be run from slowest to fastest.- Please use an accurate seed time for runners.
