VHSL Region 1D Outdoor Track and Field Championships

(Rain Date - Monday, May 25th, 2026)
Food City Sports Complex - Emory and Henry
The Region 1D Outdoor Track and Field Championships will be held on Saturday, May 23rd, 2026, at the Food City Sports Complex at Emory and Henry. The time schedule is below but once we start finals in running events with the 100 hurdles we will be on a rolling schedule.
Entry Deadline is Wednesday, May 20th, at 11:00 p.m. You will not be allowed to change entries after the deadline so make sure you have all entries done by then
8:30 - 9:00 - Weigh Ins for shot and discus - table discus area
9:00 - Coaches meeting
9:30 - Field Events - girls and boys long jump, girls high jump, girls discus, boys shot put, girls and boys pole vault,
followed by girls and boys triple jump, boys high jump, boys discus, and girls shot put
(Three throws or jumps for everybody. After three throws or jumps the top seven will advance to finals for
three more jumps or throws. Top 6 score, top 4 advance to the state meet)
10:00 - Girls followed by boys 4 x 800 relay
11:15 - Finals in all running events (Once we start the girls 100 hurdles we will be on a rolling schedule)

- There will be no additions at the coaches meeting, only scratches so please make sure your entries are correct at the entry deadline
- Also please make sure that you list your alternates for relays when you register
- The top 5 in individual events and the top three relay teams from the district meet qualify for the region meet. Also, anyone meeting the region standard in an event is eligible.
- A reminder that if you do enter more that the allowable three entries for an event, all of them must have met the region standard for that event. Only one relay team per school per relay event
-The top 4 individuals and the top 4 relay teams in each event qualify for the state meet, as well as those who have met the state standard in an event
- Scoring will be 10-8-6-4-2-1 for individual events and relays
- We will need schools to run field events. I will send out a field event assignment list a few days before the meet
