*Field Events begin at 3:30pm, Track events begin at 4:00pm.

Outdoor Mini-Meet General Information

Location: Woodberry Forest School has one entrance located 4 miles North of Orange, Va. on Route 15. Physical address: 898 Woodberry Forest Rd. Woodberry Forest, VA 22989. The Finch Track and Field is located on the left just after passing through the gate house.

Facility:Eight-lane Beynon synthetic track; one pole vault pit, one high jump pit, three long/triple jump runways, two shot put vectors, two discus vectors, and FinishLynx photo-finish timing.

Uniforms and Shoes: School uniforms are required of all participants. Spikes must be 1/4-inch pyramids or less. No hexagonal elements and no "Christmas Tree" spikes. 

Entry Fees: No fee, but in return, we ask that you have a coach from your team officiate one of the field events. After registering, please be sure to email Coach Gee in regards to which event you would like to work.

Cancellation Policy: We reserve the right to cancel, stop or move events indoors if conditions prove hazardous. 

Registration: Rosters need to be entered on va.milesplit.com and will be due a few days before the meet. MileSplit links and passwords for specific meets will be sent directly in an email, please reach out if you can not find it. 

Entries: Four entries per event on the track, three for field events, and two relay entries per race. Entry times/marks should be from competitions or trials.  If we are oversubscribed and time becomes an issue, we will contact you about reducing entries. Likewise, if space is available, we will allow additional entries per team for an event.

Locker Rooms: All competitors are asked to arrive at the course dressed. Locker rooms will not be available. 

Check-in: Coaches should check in at the Finish Line Tent immediately upon arrival. Any emergency scratches or changes must be made well before the meet begins.  (NOTE: We strongly discourage last-minute changes, but we will accept them if they are unavoidable, for example if there was a last-minute injury). 

Parking: Please look for and follow all signage in regards to parking. 

Spectators: No tickets will be sold and we ask that spectators remain outside of the track. Camping chairs are recommended as bleacher seating is limited.

Medical Policy:  An athletic trainer will be available,butthe top priority of our medical staff is to respond to serious medical emergencies. Teams are encouraged to bring medical kits for pre meet taping and/or wrapping.

*NOTE:  This is an order-of-events, finals-only schedule.  We will keep the meet moving and get teams home as soon as possible. Athletes will need to pay close attention to calls.    

Special Requests:  

  • Athletes should remain in the Finch Track and Field area. Visiting track and field participants should not be running up and down the hill towards the center of Woodberry Forests campus.

  • Coaches helping with field events, please check-in at the finish line tent upon arrival

  • Please help us in managing the use of cell phones or other electronic devices inside the track area. No athletes should be moving around the track with headphones or engaged on their electronic devices. This is a significant safety hazard.
