Region 4D Indoor Track & Field Championship Meet

Schedule:
Doors open for teams at 9:30
Coaches meeting at 10:30
Field Events start at 11:15
Running events start at 11:45

Admission:
- $10 for all spectators. Doors open at 9:30am.
- Passes - VHSCA,VHSL,VIAAA,VATA,VSBA, Principal state membership card.
Officials:
- Key officials will be appointed by meet management.
- Schools will be assigned field events to run off and/or to serve as turn judges.
- Blacksburg has signed up to run the high jump
- Lance Carter will help with the pole vault (he can use another school to assist)
Awards: 2 team trophies for both divisions. Medals to top 6 in the individual events and top 3 relays.
Scoring: 10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1.
Entries:
- Due by 8:00pm on Thursday, Feb.12th
- Each school is allowed two (2) entries per event. To enter more
than 2 in an event ALL entries must meet the regional standards.
EXAMPLE 1: Team A enters its first two runners in the 1600 meters, both of whom have run the region/state standard. Team A has a third runner who has also run the standard; therefore, Team A may enter all three runners.
EXAMPLE 2: Team B enters its first two runners in the 1600. One has run the state standard, but the second has not. The coach of Team B decides to enter a third runner in the event who has run the state standard. This is NOT permissible, and the coach must decide on which two to enter.
- Each school may enter only one relay team per event. Remember you can use the best time of the season in a 3 or more team meet.
- All entries must appear on MileStat for verification.
- Entry procedure: You will enter the meet 2 ways (MileStat and send VHSL regional entry form to: troth@salem.k12.va.us)
- No additions to entries will be accepted after the Feb. 12th deadline.
- Scratches- email early scratches to Tom Roth after the deadline but before noon on Saturday, Feb. 14th. After this time scratches will be taken (without penalty) at the coaches meeting.
