The Albemarle County Middle School Track Meet will be:
Saturday, May 2nd, at Western Albemarle HS Track, starting around 0900, depending on when all buses arrive. This event is part of the Albemarle County Middle School Parks and Recs Sports Program
This Program is sponsored by Albemarle County Parks and Recreation. Events: 3200 Run- 2 Heats, Dash, 4x800 Relay G then B, 100M, 400 M Dash, 200M Dash Heats by Grade G then B, 1600 M run, Heats by Grades G then B, 1600, 4x200 relay (Team is 6,7,8th) G then B, MIxed SMR (B-200, G-200, B-800, G-400), 800 M run, Heats by Grades G then B, 4x100 (6,7,8th) G then B, 4x400(6,7,8th)
Softball Throw, Shot Put, Long Jump, High Jump (Medals for 1st, 2nd and 3rd ) in Each Grade for individual and relay events-Note- Individual runners are limited to a total of 5 running events, including relays.
Relays are for 6/7/8 grade combined teams *(Coaches will enter one team in each of the Mix SMR, 4 X 100 meter and 4x 400 relay teams for each school) (Medals for 1st, 2nd and 3rd Teams in Relays)
Scoring is 5--3--1 for Individul evants ansd 10-6-2-,for relays with Medals to Top 3
Trophies for 1st and 2nd Place girls and boys teams -Note: 3200 has only 2 Divisions, 8th Grade and combined 6/7th Grade-Girls and then Boys -

11:30 200 girls (Same order of 6/7/8 grades as 100 above)
200 boys (Same order of 6/7/8 grades as 100 above)
11:45 1600 (3 separate 6/7/8 grade heats-Rainbow start -cut if clear -Max of 20 entries in each heat -G & B run together if possible)
12:15 4x200 relay Two Heats -(Girls then Boys) 1st lap is staggered
12:30 Mixed Sprint Medley relay One Heat - 1st lap is staggered (B-200, G 200, B-800, G 400)
12:40 800 (6 separate 6/7/8 grade G then B heats-Rainbow start -cut if clear -Max of 10 entries in each heat -G & B run together if possible)
1:00 PM 4 X 100 Relays = 2 Heats, 5 Teams for each for Girls and Boys
1:10 PM 4 X 400 Relays = 2 Heats, 5 teams for each for Girls and Boys
Team scoring is 5-3-1 for individual events and 10-6-2 for relays
Medals for Top 3 Ind Events and Relays - Team Awards for 1st and 2nd place teams Girls and Boys .
