The Albemarle County Middle School Track Meet will be:
Wednesday, May 6th, at Western Albemarle HS Track, starting around 4:30 pm, depending on when all buses arrive. This event is part of the Albemarle County Middle School Parks and Recs Sports Program
This Program is sponsored by Albemarle County Parks and Recreation. Events: 3200 Run- 2 Heats, 1600 run 3 heats 6,7,then 8th - G/B together, 100 M Dash, 400 M Dash, 4x200 relay (Team is 6,7,8th) G then B, 800 M run, Heats by Grades G then B, 200M Dash Heats by Grade G then B , 4x800, 4x100 (6,7,8th) G then B , 4x400(6,7,8th)
Shot Put, Long Jump, High Jump - . (Medals for 1st , 2nd and 3rd in Each Grade for individual and relay events-Note- Individual runners are limited to a total of 4 running events, including relays.
Relays are for 6/7/8 grade combined teams *(Coaches will enter one of each of the 4x800, 4 X 100 meter and 4x 400 relay teams for each school) (Medals for 1st, 2nd and 3rd Teams in Relays) Trophies for 1st and 2nd Place combined girls and boys teams
*Students will be transported by School Bus to WAHS and then parent's need to pick-up at WAHS School.

5:30 400 girls (full lap stagger - Same order of 6/7/8 grades100 heats as above=8 heats of 5/6 each)
5:45 400 boys (full lap stagger - Same order of 6/7/8 grades100 heats as above=8 heats of 5/6 each)
6:00 4x 800 Relays Two Heats -(Girls then Boys) Rainbow start
6:30 4x200 relay Two Heats -(Girls then Boys) 1st lap is staggered
6:45 800 (3 separate 6/7/8 grade heats-Rainbow start -cut if clear -Max of 19 entries in each heat -G & B run together if possible)
7:00 200 girls (Same order of 6/7/8 grades as 100 above)
200 boys (Same order of 6/7/8 grades as 100 above)
7:15 4 X 100 Relays = 2 Heats, 5 Teams for each for Girls and Boys
7:30 4 X 400 Relays = 2 Heats, 5 teams for each for Girls and Boys
Team scoring is 5-3-1 for individual events and 10-6-2 for relays
Medals for Top 3 Ind Events and Relays - Team Awards for 1st and 2nd place teams overall Girls and Boys combined.
