Hartwood Stallions XC Invitational
Hartwood High School Cross Country is hosting it's 1st Annual Hartwood StallionsXC Invitational. This being the inaugural year for the brand new Hartwood High School, the Coaching Staff brings with it the invitational that is now in it's 3rd year of existence. The name is changed, and the cause it is supporting has changed, but everything else stays the same! This course will also be the site for the 2026 VHSL Region 6B XC Championships.
Saturday, September 12, 2026 @ Willowmere Park in Stafford, VA (see directions and course maps below)
RACE TIMES
- 7:00 am - StallionsXC Community Open 5K Race (8th grade and below, and Adults)
- 8:00 am - StallionsXC Open 5K Race Awards
- 9:00 am - Varsity Girls 5K (7 runners max)
- 9:30 am - Varsity Boys 5K (7 runners max)
- 10:00 am - Non-Varsity Boys 5K
- 10:30 am - Non-Varsity Girls 5K
- 11:15 am - Non-Varsity Girls 3K
- 11:45 am - Non-Varsity Boys 3K
FORMAT: (*** Limited to the first 25 teams ***)
Entry Deadline Monday 9/6/26 @ 9pm
Varsity Boys & Girls Race (7 runners max)
Non-Varsity 5K - 15 runners max in each
Non-Varsity 3K - 10 runners max in each
SCHOLASTIC AWARDS:
- Top 15 in each race receive a medal
Top 2 teams in each division receive a trophy (standard top 5 scoring with runners 6 and 7 displacing. Trophies and medals for all 6 scholastic races!
OPEN RACE AWARDS:
- 14 and Under Boys: 1st, 2nd & 3rd Place medals
- 14 and Under Girls: 1st, 2nd & 3rd Place medals
- 29 and Under Men: 1st, 2nd & 3rd Place medals
- 29 and Under Women: 1st, 2nd & 3rd Place medals
- 30-39 Men: 1st, 2nd & 3rd Place medals
- 30-39 Women: 1st, 2nd & 3rd Place medals
- 40-49 Men: 1st, 2nd & 3rd Place medals
- 40-49 Women: 1st, 2nd & 3rd Place medals
- 50 and Over Male: 1st, 2nd & 3rd Place medals
- 50 and over Female: 1st, 2nd & 3rd Place medals
- OVERALL MALE: 1st & 2nd Place Trophy
- OVERALL FEMALE: 1st & 2nd Place Trophy
Sanctioning: Virginia, Bordering States, Will add if necessary

Below are the costs, and each lead to a hyperlink to our school's OSP page for online payments (you will need to create an account to pay online, but there is no additional fee).
Scholastic Teams:
$175 per gender or $300 per team (<-- this link allows you to pay online)
Open Race (each participant gets a t-shirt):
$25 for 8th graders and below
$35 for all other entrants
All entry fees are due no later than September 10, 2026 (if mailed by check)

PARKING (please pay attention):
Please pay attention when entering the Park as a portion of the course does cross an area that a road travels to the back parking lot (it will be marked with road cones).
Buses will be able to drop off in the designated area and then will be directed to nearby Mountain View High School to park.
We also have shuttle service available that will run continuously until after the event has completed. We highly encourage those arriving after 8:45am to head directly to Mountain View High School and plan to park there and use the shuttle.
SCHOLASTIC TEAMS INFO
- You may bring a tent (we will have a designated area for ALL team tents)
- An ADA compliant bathroom will be available for those that need it, otherwise, there will be port-a-johns on site near the team tent area for all to use.
- Please bring your own athletic tape, water (and bottles), and clean up after yourselves using the trash bags provided.
- If you would like to preview the course, please reach out to Coach Brian Maynard directly to set that up.
- Please check the COURSE MAP for specifics on where Registration will be, where post race medals and trophies can be obtained, and where parking will be.
