Meet Information
Registration closes April 15, 2026 (Wednesday) @ 8:00am
The Track Meet starts at 5:30 pm (or 15 minutes after the last school arrives). Running events will start at 6:00 PM (or 30 minutes after field events start). Adjust for transportation issues. If everyone is good and wants to start earlier, then that works as well.
Team Points:

Participants Per Event and Order:
Each athlete can compete in at most 2 races and cannot exceed 5 laps.
Therefore, a runner cannot run both the 1600 and 800.
Each athlete can only compete in 2 field events.
Shot put: MSAC Rules. Both boys and girls, 8 pounds. You may have more than 1 shot to use, just make sure your judge certifies the 3 or 4 shots being thrown.
Discus: MSAC Rules. Rubber Discus, both boys and girls, 2 pounds 3.27 ounces. Diameter - 7 - 7 inch with a thickness of 1 - 1 inches. It shall be made of rubber. (You may have more than 1 discus to use, just make sure your judge certifies the 3 or 4 discus being thrown.
High Jump: MSAC Rules. Section 9 and Section 15, page 29.
Relay Scoring: Only A teams will score points. B and C teams are non-scoring. A relay will run in separate races from the B and C relays. Breaking Ties for Field events follow MSAC Rules
Shot: 4 per team. Optional: You may have additional nonscoring exhibition throwers if and only if these athletes only throw shot and discus.

Long Jump: 4 per team
High Jump: 3 per team
All individual running events: 1st - 5th place scores.
Relays: 1st, 2nd, 3rd places score.
All athletes in individual races can score regardless of the heat they are in.
Order of running events
For the first quad meet, the timing company will randomly assign lanes. For all subsequent meets, lane assignments will be determined by each runners best recorded time and assigned by the timing company.

4 x 1 relay - A scoring. (B & C nonscoring).
800-meter run - 6 per team (2 heats).
100-meter dash - 4 per team (2 heats).
400-meter run - 4 per team (2 heats).
200-meter dash - 4 per team (2 heats).
4 x 4 relay - A scoring. (B & C nonscoring).
4 x 2 relay - A scoring. (B & C nonscoring).
