Online Registration Instructions
You and your team are invited to participate in this years Southside XC Invitational Thursday, August 27th at Anglers Park in Danville, VA. The course is mostly flat on a variety of terrains including grass, a gravel road, a wooded trail, and two asphalt cross-overs measuring about 100 yards each. Spikes are recommended. This meet is a VHSL sanctioned contest and counts towards your 10 regular season contest limit.

Schedule of Events:
- Course opens at 3:30 p.m.
- Coaches Meeting - 4:30 p.m. (Only if necessary)
- Mixed Open 3K - 5:15 p.m. (For MS athletes and Developmental HS runners)
- High School Girls 5K - 5:45 p.m. (unlimited entries)
- High School Boys 5K -6:30 p.m. (unlimited entries)
Entry Deadlines: Entries are due through Milestat by 11:59 pm August 24th. This meet is open to the first 20 schools that register. Priority will be given first to members of the Dogwood District, Piedmont District, and/or private schools residing in Pittsylvania County. Registration will close once 20 schools have registered.
Payment: Please bring your payment of $75 per high school, $50 per middle school or $10 per athlete if you are bringing fewer than 5 runners. Please note that the entry fee is per school, not per gender. Schools bringing both high school and middle school participants have a cumulative entry fee of $125.
Make checks payable to Galileo Magnet High School and write cross countryon the memo line.
Admission - There will be an admission charge of $5 CASH per vehicle (not per person). Please notify your team fans to bring cash and to arrive a few minutes earlier. Spectators may park in the parking lot or along the driveway. Please do not park in the grass or on the gravel road adjacent to the picnic area.Parking will fill up fast! Carpooling is encouraged.
Buses will drop athletes off at Anglers Park and then park off site at the Danville Welcome Center located at 645 Riverpark Drive.
Awards: The Danville Running & Fitness Club will be sponsoring the meet and awarding medals will be awarded to the top 15 individual finishers in each varsity race. A team trophy will be awarded to the winning team in each race. The top 10 male and female individual finishers in the Open 3K will also receive a medal.
Meet Timing will be provided by RunRoanoke.
Restrooms: Limited restrooms are available on site. There are no dressing rooms available.
Team areas: There is a large picnic shelter available on a first come first serve basis, but please be considerate to allow space for other teams to also utilize the shelter. Team canopies are acceptable and may be erected anywhere that does not interfere with the 5K course route. Please leave the park cleaner than you found it and encourage team guests to remain upon the paved areas.
Team Packets: Team packets will be available for pick-up at the finish line upon arrival. A hard copy of the course map will be provided in the team packet.

Directions: Follow US-29/HWY-265 (Danville Expressway) and exit via the Dan Daniel Park ramp. From this point, follow the brown Public Boat Landing - Anglers Park Signs which will lead you in the opposite direction of the Dan Daniel Park entrance onto Riverpark Drive. Once on Riverpark Drive turn right onto Stinson Drive and then turn left onto Northside Drive. Anglers Park is located at the end of this road.
