Northside girls, Byrd boys win titles

The Alleghany Highland mountainsides were glowing brilliant orange, red and gold Wednesday afternoon. But green was brilliant on the grounds of Dabney Lancaster Community College. Led by repeat individual champion Erin Wheeler, Northside's girls cross country team kicked off the Blue Ridge District championship race with a dominant performance. (via www.roanoke.com)
