Spring 2011
Dear Coach,
The E. C. Glass JUNIOR VARSITY INVITATIONAL track and field meet will be held at the E. C. Glass track on Saturday, May 14, 2011. Field events will begin at 9:00am and the running events will start at 10:30am.
ELIGIBILITY: All athletes in the 8th and 9th grade are eligible to compete. In addition 10th graders can compete in any event in which they are not qualified to compete in in their teams district meet. In addition an athlete cannot be 17 on or before August 1, 2009. There is a maximum of three entries per event and one relay per event. An athlete will abide by VHSL rules concerning event eligibility. The only jewelry permitted is a watch. If an athlete scratches or does not give an honest effort in a running event, he or she will be ineligible for further participation in any running event. Entries should be sent via team manager (email me for meet events) or by MILESTAT.
AWARDS: Ribbons will be awarded to places 1-6 and a team trophy will be awarded to the winning teams.
EVENTS: All standard VHSL events will be conducted. An athlete can qualify for district, region or state at this meet.

ENTRY FEE: Boys entry fee is $40 per team or $5 per athlete, whichever is less. Girls entry fee is $40 per team or $5 per athlete. Checks should be payable to E. C. GLASS TRACK. Entry fees received after May 9 will be subject to an extra $20 charge.
DEADLINE: Entries open on milestat at 6:00pm April 23, 2011 and close at 6:00pm on Tuesday May 10, 2011. Entry fee should be mailed to Rod Camden, E. C. Glass High School, 2111 Memorial Avenue, Lynchburg, Va. 24501.
