The Fort Defiance boys cleared their first test in their quest to defend their Group AA state title from a year ago as they won the Valley District Meet by an 18 point margin over Spotswood. Meanwhile, the Broadway girls are quietly becoming a prominent team in AA as they won the girls\' district team title with a team total of 42 points.
