The state's top two ranked runners in Thomas Edison's Louis Colson and George C. Marshall's Mackenzie Haight found each other quickly 200 meters into the junior/senior boys' race at Potomac River Running Kick Off Invitational on Thursday at Bull Run Regional Park. Colson and Haight ran stride for stride on the 2 mile course after a conservative first mile split of 5:06 until the final downhill stretch when Colson shifted gears to pull away for a 14 second victory in 9:57.
