Kate joins Weini as the only sub 18 girl to not win a state title this year. Kate also ran the best race of her season right when she should by finishing as the runner-up in 17:54. Kate is looking at potentially dropping a full two minutes off of her time from her freshman to sophomore year which is crazy to think of. She and her Bruin teammates will be in Cary this weekend racing at NXR, her team has an outside chance at advancing but she has a serious shot at making it to Portland this fall.
