The Cardinal District may be lacking of star power among its top boys returnees, but that is not the case with the top girls coming back this fall in the district with three of the state's best in Lindsi Arrington of Gar-Field, Michelle Britto of Woodbridge, and Debra Baner of Potomac Senior. Britto is the defending district cross country champion, but Gar-Field's Arrington can certainly be considered a worthy challenger after an outstanding track season as an All-State performer for 3200 meters with a 11:08 best. All three could potentially earn All-State honors in November at Great Meadow and the district race should be exciting with all three vying for first place.
