Get Ready America, VA is Taking Over Great American

Boys Championship Race Preview

29 Virginia boys will toe the Great American start line and all of them should make quick work of the course in the Nike Race of Champions. These individuals come from Blacksburg, James Madison, Lake Braddock, Loudoun Valley, and George C. Marshall (Patrick Lynch).

All four of these teams are in the title hunt this weekend and at the end of this season at States. Blacksburg is the 3A favorite, Loudoun Valley is the 4A favorite and then we have a tight battle between James Madison and Lake Braddock for the 6A crown.

Team wise it is going to be fun to see how these teams compete. Loudoun Valley has been running a lot but mainly on hills, Blacksburg is the cranking out the meets but mainly on flat courses and both Lake Braddock and James Madison have barely run this season comparatively.

On the individual front Sean Grimm (James Madison), Peter Morris & Colton Bogucki (Loudoun Valley), Conor Lyons (Lake Braddock), and Ben Fleming (Blacksburg) should all be up near the front of this race. All five of these guys have the ability and talent to run a low 15's time this weekend and it really will come down to how the race plays out and whether the weather permits it.

Peter Morris really cannot be counted out as one of the favorites for the entire title this weekend in a very very fast race.

This race could not only feature three state champion teams but three state champions as well.
