This competition couldn't be more opposite from the Girls. It looks like it is going to come down to the absolute wire between Team MD and Team VA yet again with three teams separated by just 16 points. Then just behind them are the top two 5A schools and that has its awesome storyline as well.
Leading the way into the weekend and currently ranked second in the state is James Madison. They have high hopes of ending Lake Braddock's team title streak this year and it all begins with a big win this weekend. Look for them and their leader Sean Grimm to attack the race early and to strongly run together.
They are going to be chased by Maryland school Severna Park who doesn't quite have the firepower upfront but definitely has amazing consistency.
The other team in this hunt are the Bruins of Blacksburg. They are on a mission this year to avenge their close loss last year at states and haven't looked back since their first meet. This could be a huge statement for them if they were able to improve a few spots here and there.
